That’s how it’s always been, ever since you met him. With clever words and those beguiling looks of his, he wrapped you up in a web that was so deftly spun you didn’t even realise you were in one until it was too late.

Occasionally you’d rebel, leave him on read, ignore the siren call of him, go on dates with other guys, but he always got his way eventually. And the sessions spent after you’d pulled away from him were all the more intense for your resistance, with him making you come over and over until his name was all you could say, rattling around in your brain, carved into every inch of your skull. You’d limp to work the next day with Dazai’s teeth marks hidden under your clothing, lovebites all over your neck and breasts, handprints on your ass, thin nail marks on your back and thighs.

Sometimes it was worth it just to rile him up, put a healthy fear of losing your company into him.

If someone asked you to define what you and Dazai were, you’d struggle to define it. Fuck buddies? Lovers? Friends, even? He sure as shit wasn’t your husband.

But whatever it was, it was addictive.

That night, when the text came from him, you threw on some clothes hastily - it didn’t matter what you wore, really, since Dazai would be unwrapping you like a Christmas present. You did put on some of your nicer underwear, though - you loved the way his eyes lit up at the merest hint of lace or silk and it made you feel good. It didn’t take you long to get to where he lived – so convenient for him that the Armed Detective Agency was literally right around the corner, yet he always managed to be late for work. You shivered under your jacket as you mounted the steps leading to his front door, the night air cool and crisp.

He answered the door before you’d even had a chance to knock - almost like he’d been peering through the peephole, eagerly anticipating your arrival.

“Hello, sweetheart~” He purred, eyes dragging up and down your body.

presentingg the genius AU idea my brother @sorcerersandskillusers came up with yippee!!!!!! We're still figuring out the details but the key changes are:

Dazai and Odasaku take the places of Ellie and Joel (ofc)

The zombies are replaced by the vampires from the most recent arc

Skills still exist in this AU, the reason Dazai is so important is because he can't be effected by vampire bites with his nullification

Oda does his best to keep Dazai alive because of this (nothing to do with his "must father" nature not at all), Dazai does his best to jump into hoards of vampires at any given moment

The Fireflies are the Port Mafia, Mori taking the place of Marlene, Chuuya taking the place of Riley, etc.

Oda's orphans replace Joel's bio daughter, he's heard rumours that one or two survived (replacing Tommy in the show) and is travelling to find them.

Teenage soukoku acting like typical middle schoolers who give their homeroom teacher headache except they're in a mafia meeting.

They behave for the first ten minutes, fifteen minutes if the team is lucky and after that Mori's lifespan starts shortening. It starts with Dazai whispering something to Chuuya and Chuuya snickering before whispering back. Soon the whispers turn into bickers and bickers turn into yelling until they meet Mori's glare and fall silent. He apologises to the foreign dealers and the meeting resumes.

Peace restored but not for long.

Five minutes later they're talking again. Dazai rocks the chair too far back and falls over. Chuuya laughs, because of course he does. A minute later Chuuya screams and jumps away from his seat. All eyes are immediately on him as he points at Dazai while rubbing his arm.

"THIS BITCH BIT ME"

Mori wants to cry.

this was a result of me reading this post/conversation between @originalaccountname and @iwritenarrativesandstuff (hope you guys don't mind the tagging skjfksdjf) and getting really sad about Chuuya — and I had been rewatching the Dark Era episodes for the billionth time and was thinking about Oda and Dazai hugging Ango while they're all smelly to make him go with them, and so I thought "ok what if Dazai did that to Chuuya but in the process they both accidentally discovered how touch-starved Chuuya is"
