Quan Yin,  Heal All Sentient Beings of Some Past Hurt or Wrong Doing. Thank-You.
Goddess of Mercy
Quan Yin is the compassionate Saviouress of the East. Throughout the Orient, altars dedicated to this Mother of Mercy can be found in temples, homes and wayside grottoes and prayers to her presence and her flame are incessantly on the lips of devotees as they seek her guidance and succor in every area of life. Still very much a part of Eastern culture, Quan Yin has awakened interest in her path and teaching among a growing number of Western devotees who recognize the powerful presence of “The Goddess of Mercy” along with that of the Virgin Mary, as an illuminator and intercessor of the seventh age of Aquarius. Tuning in-to, or working with, Quan Yin’s energy is a very beautiful experience. She is the most gentle of Ascended Masters, and yet there is great strength in her energy. She always has a dragon with her: the dragon is her friend, her protector, guardian and keeper. As is true of us, the gentleness within her must always have protection, and this is what the dragon provides. Quan Yin also brings a new energy to the new consciousness – and this new energy is the Way of the Goddess. It is very feminine, very very gentle, co-operative, responsive, nurturing, seeking the Light, seeking goodness in everyone – and yet having a great inner strength as well. This energy that radiates from her is tremendously healing. Everyone, no matter their age, needs this nurturing, gentle energy of the Cosmic Mother. The Ascended Lady Master Quan Yin brings you divine love and helps you in many ways. Here are a few points in particular where her engery can be felt greatly if you have problems feeling the power of any other Ascended Master: • Provides and Gives you healing – makes you calm, serene, gentle. • Assists you in knowing when to act and when to be still. • Helps you to flow smoothly on all levels. ************************************* Chakra: Heart Color: White/coral Symbol: Dragon Tarot: The Empress Titles: Goddess of Mercy Vibration / Ray / Flame: Violet Flame, Mercy, Seventh Ray, Forgiveness, Compassion Etheric Retreat: Temple of Mercy, in the etheric plane over Peking (Beijing), China. Cosmic Temples of Mercy ************************************* “Quan Yin stands with stretched out arms - reaching into the very crevices of all of the areas where there are pockets of mistrust, hate, pain, anger, and all manner of desecration of the Light of God - righteously and unrighteously held. Her promise to all beloved ones is that for those who feel that they have been wronged, that they have no justification for holding on to that wrong. Now, those of us know that it is not so that people should hold on to their wrongs. And it is not the way of the Lightbearer. For the Lightbearer must engender Light. There must be the reflection of the Light of your God Presence in all of your activities. And if it is not present, you will find that there are all manner of human conditions that will creep into your conversation, your feeling world, and your actions. "It is a vigilance that must be guarded, and you must hold fast to the Light. For if you do not, and in an unguarded hour there are times when there is a riptide, or a thoughtform, or all manner of energies that are not your own - they will slip in and pretend to be your own. And before you know it, you will have acquired new thinking, new perceptions. If those thinkings and perceptions are not in accordance with the Heart, are not in alignment with the release of Light within your world, then you must saturate the Violet Flame through each cognized thought, each concept, each erg of energy, transmuting on the instant all that would stand to distort your vision, to distort the Image of Christ in Action.
The Ascended Lady Master ”Kuan Yin Kuan“ often used with a "Q” is here written with a “K”, Kuan Shih Yin Tzu Tsai, meaning “the sovereign who looks on the sounds of the world.” The name Kuan Shih Yin, as she is often called, means literally “the one who regards, looks on, or hears the sounds of the world.” According to legend, Quan Yin was about to enter heaven but paused on the threshold as the cries of the world reached her ears. According to legend, she paused on the threshold of heaven to listen to the cries of the world. It was then that she choose to not to fully ascend to remain back and assist mankind in his shadows and mis-understanding. Quan Yin was wor-shiped in China before the advent of Buddhism and thereafter adopted by Buddhists as an incarnation of Avalokitesvara (Padmapani whose inter-cession has been invoked over the centuries by devotees chanting the six mystic syllables “OM MANI PADME HUM.”) Devotees also invoke the bodhisattva’s power and merciful intercession with this mantra which claims: “Hail to the jewel in the lotus!” or, as it has also been interpreted, “Hail to Avalokitesvara, who is the jewel in the heart of the lotus of the devotee’s heart!” Throughout Tibet and Ladakh, Buddhists have inscribed OM MANI PADME HUM on flat prayer stones called “mani-stones” as votive offerings in praise of Avalokitesvara. Thousands of these stones have been used to build mani-walls that line the roads entering villages and monasteries. It is said that Quan Yin took embodiment as the third daughter of Miao Chuang Wang, identified with the Chou dynasty, a ruler of a northern Chinese kingdom c. 696 B.C. According to legend, she was determined to devote herself to a religious life and refused to be married despite the command of her father and the entreaties of her friends. Finally, however, she was permitted to enter the Nunnery of the White Bird in Lung-shu Hsien. Here, at her father’s orders, she was put to the most demeaning tasks which in no way dampened her zealous love for God. Angered by her devotion, Miao Chuang Wang ordered her to be executed, but when the sword touched her it was broken into a thousand pieces. Her father then commanded her to be stifled, but when her soul left her body and descended into hell she transformed it into paradise. Carried on a lotus flower to the island of P’ootoo, near Nimpo, she lived for nine years healing the diseased and saving mariners from shipwreck. It is said that once, when word was brought to her that her father had fallen ill, she cut the flesh from her arms and used it as a medicine which saved his life. In gratitude, he ordered that a statue be erected in her honor, commissioning the artist to depict her with “completely formed arms and eyes.” The artist misunderstood, however, and to this day Quan Yin is sometimes shown with a “thousand arms and a thousand eyes,” thereby able to see and assist the masses of her people.
The greatest quality that Quan Yin brings to us is flowing, particularly a flowing of feeling; a flowing of feeling, not of emotion, within and through both men and women. Quan Yin makes everything flow easily, and perhaps this quality has something to do with mercy, and the forgiveness that she holds for humanity. As we know, our emotional body, astral body, and our minds all need cleansing, so Quan Yin is helping everything, and everyone, to become undammed; to become flowing and purified within. You are ready for the new once you are cleansed and purified. She helps you go through this process and, as we know, everything that flows smoothly is healthy, whether it is in your own being, your own physical body, or the Earth itself and its environment. The gentle soothing energy of Lady Quan Yin will comfort you whenever you call upon her. Quan Yin hears the cries of the world. Quan Yin is about flowing - and everything that flows is healthy. Quan Yin is helping to purify everything within us and within the world by encouraging us all to flow - in our emotions, our thoughts, our spirit and our physical body. Flowing tears heal the heart. She brings out the qualities of mercy, compassion, forgiveness and gentle strength in you. Quan Yin has taken the vow of the bodhisattva to work with the evolutions of this planet and this solar system to show them the way of the teachings of the ascended masters. She preceded Saint Germain as Chohan of the Seventh Ray, which office she held for two thousand years, and serves as the representative of the seventh ray on the Karmic Board. Quan Yin is hierarch of the etheric Temple of Mercy over Peking, China, where she focuses the flame of mercy and forgiveness for the children of the ancient land of Chin and the souls of humanity. The mercy flame is the means whereby the Christ intercedes on behalf of those who are unable to bear the full brunt of their own returning karma and therefore require an intermediary to stand between their human creation and the Great Law. Quan Yin is a representative on the Karmic Board of the Seventh Ray, which is the ray that we will be feeling strongly in the New Consciousness of the Aquarian Age. Quan Yin has moved strongly to the forefront of the Western consciousness in the last ten years, as she works now with western consciousness as well as with the eastern; she brings in the qualities of compassion and gentleness, which are sorely needed in our war-torn consciousness. Scholars believe that the Buddhist monk and translator Kumarajiva was the first to refer to the female form of Kuan Yin in his Chinese translation of the Lotus Sutra in 406 A.D. Of the thirty-three appearances of the bodhisattva referred to in his translation, seven are female. (Devoted Chinese and Japanese Buddhists have since come to associate the number thirty-three with Quan Yin.) Although Quan Yin was still being portrayed as a male as late as the tenth century, with the introduction of Tantric Buddhism into China in the eighth century during the T'ang dynasty, the image of the celestial bodhisattva as a beautiful white-robed goddess was predominant and the devotional cult surrounding her became increasingly popular. By the ninth century there was a statue of Quan Yin in every Buddhist monastery in China. Despite the controversy over the origins of Quan Yin as a feminine being, the depiction of a bodhisattva as both ‘god’ and 'goddess’ is not inconsistent with Buddhist doctrine. The scriptures explain that a bodhisattva has the power to embody in any form–male, female, child, even animal—depending on the type of being he is seeking to save. As the Lotus Sutra relates, the bodhisattva Quan Shih Yin, “by resort to a variety of shapes, travels in the world, conveying the beings to salvation.” The twelfth-century legend of the Buddhist saint Miao Shan, the Chinese princess who lived in about 700 B.C. and is widely believed to have been Quan Yin, reinforced the image of the bodhisattva as a female. During the twelfth century Buddhist monks settled on P'u-t'o Shan–the sacred island-mountain in the Chusan Archipelago off the coast of Chekiang where Miao Shan is said to have lived for nine years, healing and saving sailors from shipwreck–and devotion to Quan Yin spread throughout northern China. This picturesque island became the chief center of worship of the compassionate Saviouress; crowds of pilgrims would journey from the remotest places in China and even from Manchuria, Mongolia and Tibet to attend stately services there. At one time there were more than a hundred temples on the island and over one thousand monks. The lore surrounding P'u-t'o island recounts numerous appearances and miracles performed by Quan Yin, who, it is believed, reveals herself to the faithful in a certain cave on the island. In the Pure Land sect of Buddhism, Quan Yin forms part of a ruling triad that is often depicted in temples and is a popular theme in Buddhist art. In the center is the Buddha of Boundless Light, Amitabha (Chinese, A-mi-t'o Fo; Japanese, Amida). To his right is the bodhisattva of strength or power, Mahasthamaprapta, and to his left is Quan Yin, personifying his endless mercy. In Buddhist theology Quan Yin is sometimes depicted as the captain of the “Bark of Salvation,” guiding souls to Amitabha’s Western Paradise, or Pure Land–the land of bliss where souls may be reborn to receive continued instruction toward the goal of enlightenment and perfection. The journey to Pure Land is frequently represented in woodcuts showing boats full of Amitabha’s followers under Quan Yin’s captainship.
Amitabha, a beloved figure in the eyes of Buddhists desiring to be reborn in his Western Paradise and to obtain freedom from the wheel of rebirth, is said to be, in a mystical or spiritual sense, the father of Quan Yin. Legends of the Mahayana School recount that Avalokitesvara was 'born’ from a ray of white light which Amitabha emitted from his right eye as he was lost in ecstasy. Thus Avalokitesvara, or Quan Yin, is regarded as the “reflex” of Amitabha—a further emanation or embodiment of “maha karuna (great compassion), the quality which Amitabha himself embodies in the highest sense. Many figures of Quan Yin can be identified by the presence of a small image of Amitabha in her crown. It is believed that as the merciful redemptress Quan Yin expresses Amitabha’s compassion in a more direct and personal way and prayers to her are answered more quickly. The iconography of Quan Yin depicts her in many forms, each one revealing a unique aspect of her merciful presence. As the sublime Goddess of Mercy whose beauty, grace and compassion have come to represent the ideal of womanhood in the East, she is frequently portrayed as a slender woman in flowing white robes who carries in her left hand a white lotus, symbol of purity. Ornaments may adorn her form, symbolizing her attainment as a bodhisattva, or she may be pictured without them as a sign of her great virtue. Quan Yin’s presence is widespread through her images as the "bestower of children” which are found in homes and temples. A great white veil covers her entire form and she may be seated on a lotus. She is often portrayed with a child in her arms, near her feet, or on her knees, or with several children about her. In this role, she is also referred to as the “white-robed honored one.” Sometimes to her right and left are her two attendants, Shan-ts’ai Tung-tsi, the “young man of excellent capacities,” and Lung-wang Nu, the “daughter of the Dragon-king.” Quan Yin is also known as patron bodhisattva of P'u-t'o Shan, mistress of the Southern Sea and patroness of fishermen. As such she is shown crossing the sea seated or standing on a lotus or with her feet on the head of a dragon. Like Avalokitesvara she is also depicted with a thousand arms and varying numbers of eyes, hands and heads, sometimes with an eye in the palm of each hand, and is commonly called “the thousand-arms, thousand-eyes” bodhisattva. In this form she represents the omnipresent mother, looking in all directions simultaneously, sensing the afflictions of humanity and extending her many arms to alleviate them with infinite expressions of her mercy. Symbols characteristically associated with Quan Yin are a willow branch, with which she sprinkles the divine nectar of life; a precious vase symbolizing the nectar of compassion and wisdom, the hallmarks of a bodhisattva; a dove, representing fecundity; a book or scroll of prayers which she holds in her hand, representing the dharma (teaching) of the Buddha or the sutra (Buddhist text) which Miao Shan is said to have constantly recited; and a rosary adorning her neck with which she calls upon the Buddhas for succor. Images of Avalokitesvara often show him holding a rosary; descriptions of his birth say he was born with a white crystal rosary in his right hand and a white lotus in his left. It is taught that the beads represent all living beings and the turning of the beads symbolizes that Avalokitesvara is leading them out of their state of misery and repeated rounds of rebirth into nirvana.
It is believed that Quan Yin frequently appears in the sky or on the waves to save those who call upon her when in danger. Personal stories can be heard in Taiwan, for instance, from those who report that during World War II when the United States bombed the Japanese-occupied Taiwan, she appeared in the sky as a young maiden, catching the bombs and covering them with her white garments so they would not explode. Thus altars dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy are found everywhere–shops, restaurants, even taxicab dashboards. In the home she is worshipped with the traditional “pai pai,” a prayer ritual using incense, as well as the use of prayer charts–sheets of paper designed with pictures of Quan Yin, lotus flowers, or pagodas and outlined with hundreds of little circles. With each set of prayers recited or sutras read in a novena for a relative, friend, or oneself, another circle is filled in. This chart has been described as a “Ship of Salvation” whereby departed souls are saved from the dangers of hell and the faithful safely conveyed to Amitabha’s heaven. In addition to elaborate services with litanies and prayers, devotion to Quan Yin is expressed in the popular literature of the people in poems and hymns of praise. Today Quan Yin is worshipped by Taoists as well as Mahayana Buddhists–especially in Taiwan, Japan, Korea and once again in her homeland of China, where the practice of Buddhism had been suppressed by the Communists during the Cultural Revolution (1966-69). She is the protectress of women, sailors, merchants, craftsmen, and those under criminal prosecution, and is invoked particularly by those desiring progeny. She is beloved as a mother figure and divine mediatrix who is very close to the daily affairs of her devotees. There is an implicit trust in Quan Yin’s saving grace and healing powers. Many believe that even the simple recitation of her name will bring her instantly to the scene. One of the most famous texts associated with the bodhisattva, the ancient Lotus Sutra whose twenty-fifth chapter, dedicated to Quan Yin, is known as the “Quan Yin sutra,” describes thirteen cases of impending disaster–from shipwreck to fire, imprisonment, robbers, demons, fatal poisons and karmic woes–in which the devotee will be rescued if his thoughts dwell on the power of Quan Yin. The text is recited many times daily by those who wish to receive the benefits it promises. Devout followers of Quan Yin may frequent local temples and make pilgrimages to larger temples on important occasions or when they are burdened with a special problem. The three yearly festivals held in her honor are on the nineteenth day of the second month (celebrated as her birthday), of the sixth month, and of the ninth month based on the Chinese lunar calendar. In the tradition of the Great White Brotherhood Quan Yin ensouls the God qualities of the law of mercy, compassion and forgiveness. She had numerous embodiments prior to her ascension thousands of years ago and has taken the vow of the bodhisattva to teach the unascended children of God how to balance their karma and fulfill their divine plan by loving service to life and the application of the violet flame through the science of the spoken Word. Quan Yin preceded the Ascended Master Saint Germain as Chohan (Lord) of the Seventh Ray of Freedom, Transmutation, Mercy and Justice and she is one of seven Ascended Masters who serve on the Karmic Board, a council of justice that mediates the karma of earth’s evolutions–dispensing opportunity, mercy and the true and righteous judgments of the Lord to each lifestream on earth. She is hierarch of the etheric Temple of Mercy over Peking, China, where she focuses the light of the Divine Mother on behalf of the children of the ancient land of China, the souls of humanity, and the sons and daughters of God.
In a dictation given to Elizabeth Clare Prophet on April 10, 1974, Quan Yin described the action of the mercy flame which she ensouls: “For many of you I have pleaded before the Lords of Karma for opportunity to embody, to be whole, to not have the great karma of being maimed and blinded at birth that some of you have deserved. I have interceded with the flame of mercy on your behalf so that you could pursue in the freedom of a sound mind and body the light of the law…. The action of forgiveness is the setting aside of karma, a diminishing of karma for a time, to give you the opportunity to find God, to find the Holy Spirit, to espouse the Christ as the Saviour.” Thus she teaches unascended mankind how to call upon the law of forgiveness and explains that when the individual achieves a certain attainment on the Path, then the law of mercy returns to him the ‘sin’ that was set aside so that he himself may have the joy of balancing every jot and tittle of misqualified energy and so fulfill the law of his own being.
A closing message from Quan Yin: There are those in the land who do not feel the Love of God. They do not feel the love of their brother and sister. For they have decided that, because of some past hurt, because of distrust, or lack of faith, they must seal themselves in a cocoon that is impenetrable - that no force will touch the heart again. “There are those who talk loudly, and many times those who talk the loudest are the most hurt. And we recognize that it is a part of the process for them to release all that is pent, all that is guarded, all that is denied within their being. If these lifestreams are to feel the Love of God, if they are to feel the honor and the respect that you afford them, there must be a process of healing. There must be a process of wholeness. "I stand with stretched out arms - reaching into the very crevices of all of the areas where there are pockets of mistrust, hate, pain, anger, and all manner of desecration of the Light of God - righteously and unrighteously held. The Lightbearer must engender Light. "The Karmic Board has decided to release a sufficient amount of the Violet Flame, as Mercy’s Ray, over all of those Lightbearers upon this planet - all of those who have felt justified in retreating into what they felt was a place of safety, but in reality it is devoid of Life. Yes, beloved ones, where God is absent, there is no Life. And those areas of so-called protection will only bring a later date, a pushing back of the time cycles for that lifestream to come back into the Oneness with their own God Presence. "As this Violet Flame is released across the planet, It is directed into the thoughtforms of all of the miscreation that each of these precious ones are tied into. It is designed to dissolve, consume, and totally transmute the cause, effect, record, and memory of all that would be present. For I tell you, beloved ones, as long as there are mega-thoughtforms that you reinforce with your negative concepts, you will be tied in to the fullness of the negative outpicturing of the astral plane. "The Brotherhood has sent forth embodied Messengers to proclaim the Reality of your God Divinity. We did not send forth those crying out in the land of doom and gloom and cataclysm. When you are in the Oneness with your God Flame, through the Holy Christ Self and your God Presence, there is no doom and gloom; there is no lack of abundance; there are no scars. For in the fullness of the Light of God, all is well. "As I sit upon the Karmic Board, I AM called upon to look at the lifestreams on a regular basis who are the forerunners of the Brotherhood’s Work upon the planet - and there is a continual review. It is not outside our gaze. We do not wait for a cataclysm to review all of the records. For very clearly, there is a pulse. There is a guidepost that must be maintained. There are those who think that We have not seen - that perhaps We have been too far away to be aware of all the comings and goings, all of the negativity, all of the hurt. "I would address this from My Office in the Karmic Board. For the true student on the Path of the Ascended Masters must realize that there comes a time when they have to stand in their own Light. This is not a path of training that you lean on your neighbor. This is a Path that is very individual. Coming together in Community in groups allows for the reinforcement. It allows for the reminding of the gentle reminders of the Immaculate Concept for each - but it is none the less an individual Path. And many times you will feel very much alone - separated and apart, as though no one understands what you are going through - until out of the clear blue someone walks up and says: 'Oh I recognize how you feel. "This is why the Ascended Masters are ready to assist each of you. They know the steps that you take. They know the Path, for They have walked it. I know the pain. I know the uncomfortability, but I also know the Joy! And because I know the Joy in the Fullness of God, I will not leave you comfortless. I will not leave you without My Flame. "If you are in need of any surcease in the battle, if there is a step on the Path that seems too difficult to take - but none the less you find you are forced into that situation, call to Me. I will not turn away. I cannot by Law, for I vowed to stay with you. "There must first be the transmutation of all of the negative thoughtforms that are hovering over this entire area and over the entire planet - as a weight and a burden on the Lightbearers - not allowing them to feel the Love of God, not allowing them to even feel Mercy’s Flame when extended. The Violet Flame Angels will be coming to each and every lifestream who has a Threefold Flame. It matters not if they know of the Ascended Masters. It matters not if they know of Kuan Yin or the Karmic Board. For each of these lifestreams is deserving of Mercy’s Flame - for the encroachment upon their heart and upon their lives by the mega-force of this thoughtform. "It is absolutely essential for you to direct your Violet Flame calls throughout this planet so that each of the lifestreams that are ready for an awakening of consciousness - who are ready to receive the outer understanding of the Violet Flame - have the Opportunity: to feel It, to know It, and then to become It. "Your Work, and the Work of the Ages, is to Keep the Flame and the Vigil on the Altar of your Heart for those who are yet to be awakened. It is a responsibility that you vowed at inner levels to take on. Those in Ascended Master Activities particularly knew exactly this Mission and Goal. Yes, many even knew the anguish and the turmoils that they would be caught up in. But I tell you - how better to prepare for a Golden Age than to see what not to do? "When the energies of disregard of the Holy Christ Self in each of your brothers and sisters is allowed to run rampant, there is a corresponding reaction. And that, beloved ones, comes about in the shutting down of the Heart. This is a great pain to the Heart of the Ascended Masters. "For those lifestreams who would like to cry the loudest that they have been hurt lost sight of the Goal, lost sight of the Mission. For the Mission was not to be caught up in any form of idolatry. The Mission was, and still is, the Ascension in the Light! …

The Goddess is a woman who is a warrior. She is fierce and wild. She loves deeply and is compassionate towards all life. She is passionate and uncontrolled. She is untamed and she is free. Her thoughts are not in the past or in the future, -she is totally absorbed by the now and here. A Goddess stands up for herself and knows that she is the creator of her reality. Responsible and courageous she paves her way through life gracefully and smiling. While many men wish to find this Goddess, they often lack in understanding who a Goddess really is ~and that, so very often sets the stage for unfulfilling relation-ships, heart-breaks and other disasters. Once awakened men find that woman who has activated her Goddess energy and power they must develop master skills to keep her. And that is exactly what she wants from him. She wants her man to evolve and embody the highest version of himself, his God Self. A Goddess knows what she wants, what she doesn’t want and she will be clear about it. A Goddess does not bend herself to make a man like her, want her or even love her. She loves herself unconditionally and she has no need for confirmation. A Goddess does not comply with rules or society’s standards and she won’t care what others think of her. She honors her Goddess-Self, that is all that counts for her in her world. A Goddess does not accept ‘no’ for an answer. She is a fighter and a victor. She knows how powerful she is and how to manifest her desires. A Goddess is never dependent. She is the Mother, the sacred life giver and that makes her the strongest leader of all. A Goddess will always and in all ways speak her truth, you can take it or leave it but you cannot twist it. But an awakened man knows that a Goddess can show him the essence of life and the meaning of magic, if he is not afraid to handle her passion. A Goddess will take her man to the depths of his own soul and make him face his demons, if he is not afraid to handle her fire. A Goddess leads her man to another dimension. A world unkown to him until he met her but he can only reside there if he is as fearless as she is. A Goddess pours out her love like a man may not have ever experienced before but only if he can stand up to the very truth of his Goddess. A Goddess protects her beloveds fiercely as long as they look her in the eyes with loyalty. A Goddess can change a man’s life forever, the direction it takes is entirely based on the choices he makes, between fear and love. One cannot play games or hide truth from a Goddess. An awakened woman sees all. She knows about intentions, she might even read minds and she will make absolutely sure a man eager for her heart is a God equal to her before she shares her inner Queendom and her deepest secrets with him. A Goddess protects and hides her vulnerability from men; instead she shows her strength, until a man’s heart and love is pure enough to pierce through the shell and be allowed in. It is neither through words that one can impress her, nor with money, possessions or titles but only through the power of an open heart and a calm mind that steps forward with absolute clarity and truth.
