Hi everyone, back again with another masterpost! I decided to do a guide to highlighting, I find highlighting extremely useful when I do my revision. It allows me to locate key pieces of information very fast, thus it is important to only highlight crucial details.
Please note that this is just a guideline, so change and alter it for your usage.
I just got Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/bristudiespsych/ follow me and I will follow you back!
If you have any requests for masterpost please send me a message!
Much love,
Bri xx

Writing Is Hard
You know this. If you’re a writer, you know that it’s hard. It’s a job that’s not for the faint-hearted or undisciplined. You stare at blank pages and blinking cursors. You create people out of nothing. You weave plots from the frayed threads of ideas. Writing is hard.
And in the end, every word that you wrote with shaking fingers, every plotline that surprised you as it unraveled, every character who survived the road of trials you set them on - every last thing - is so incredibly worth it.

My Defense of CGLRE
The exclusion of CGLRE from age regression communities is highly insulting and without good reason. The arguments I hear the most are very misinformed and biased. With this page, I hope to clarify my reasons for accepting and supporting this community. If, after reading this page, you want to argue with me… leave. 😊 This isn’t something I wish to argue about and the contents of this page are unlikely to ever change.
“CGLRE is a sub-group/branch of CGL and is therefore a kink/kink related.”
This argument never ceases to puzzle me, because the same people who say this also tend to want age regression to be viewed as a non-sexual thing and often dislike CGL because they believe it sexualizes minors. They also tend to want people to abandon CGL for a “safer” community. Yet, when they say things like this, they’re doing exactly what they said they didn’t want. Simply put, members of the CGLRE community don’t want to be grouped in with CGL. The CGLRE community is not “SFW kink” or “non-sexual ageplay” (WTF would that even be?). The creation of CGLRE came about through age regressors who discovered their age regression because of CGL and found the language used in the CGL community to be helpful in describing their feelings. Because of this, they modified that language slightly and created their own community which is separate from CGL but uses similar (not the same! Similar!) terms. The only connection that can really be drawn from CGLRE to CGL is that language, and even that isn’t exactly the same. Aside from that language, CGLRE is functionally identical to other age regression communities. It was created by and for age regressors that didn’t want to be linked to CGL, much like other age regression communities, and just because they might have once mistakenly identified themselves as ageplayers does not mean they aren’t age regressors and doesn’t make the community they created any less of an age regression community.
“CGLRE uses kink terms, which makes it a kink.”
The “kink terms” in question are these:
Mommy
Daddy
Little/Little Boy/Little Girl
Caregiver
Littlespace
Big Space
Switch
As you might have noticed, these terms exist outside of CGL and are not inherently kinky. Plenty of people, adults and children alike, use these terms non-sexually everyday. I personally have a family friend that calls her biological parents “mommy” and “daddy” all the time. Examples of people who are caregivers include nurses, teachers, family members, janitors to some extent, babysitters, etc. The word caregiver itself is defined by the Merriam Webster Dictionary as “a person who provides direct care (as for children, elderly people, or the chronically ill)”. Generally speaking, people age regress as a way of recovering from trauma or coping with mental illness, which makes the term caregiver even more apt. Furthermore, the word little is simply an adjective. If an age regressor wants to call themself a little because they feel small, why is that a crime? Because some people in a completely different community use it for their kink? Should we stop using the word bear too because that can be used sexually? Should we commit mass murder of all animals on Earth because furries exist? No, obviously not. These are simply words and nothing more.
“But CGLRE literally has CGL in the name!”
So what? That’s how the alphabet works, you know. Sometimes letters from one word end up in other words. Get used to it.
“But CGLRE is unsafe for minors!”
I fail to see how. Out of literally every other age regression community, communities which touted themselves as “completely safe and non-kink”, the only one where I’ve ever felt completely safe was CGLRE. Nobody in the CGLRE community has ever sent me death threats, rape threats, homophobic messages, gory images, etc. Nobody in the CGLRE community has told me that I deserve to die or that my rape was justified. If CGLRE is unsafe for minors, that is far from the experience I’ve had.
It may be true that creepy “daddy doms” who prey on young kids over the internet would manipulate age regressing children into being sexually harassed because they’re so vulnerable in that headspace, but is that the fault of the age regressors? No. Is that the fault of CGLRE itself? No. Is it the fault of the creepy “daddy doms” that prey on kids? Yes, absolutely. Is it victim-blaming to tell kids it’s their fault if they get attacked for doing completely harmless and non-sexual things? Duh.
“It’s unhealthy!”
Um, unless you plan on hiring a trustworthy therapist to psychoanalyze every single member of the CGLRE community and determine whether age regression is the right avenue for them, you don’t have any proof of that.
“Caregivers and littles always have a power exchange or dom/sub dynamic in their relationships which means CGLRE is a kink.”
This is just incorrect. There is no power exchange happening. When somebody is in their regressed headspace (which they may or may not refer to as their “littlespace”), they are in the headspace of a literal child. They will act like a child, think like a child, and behave like a child. Why? They literally believe that they are a child. Do you think this makes them a submissive? If you do, that’s screwed up. Additionally, many littles find it difficult to function in this headspace without the help of somebody else. This person is their caregiver. Often times, their caregiver ends up being their significant other since they tend to trust them and usually already know about their age regression. Other times they have friends fill that role. I’ve even heard of biological parents caring for their biological children when they’re in their regressed headspace (this is rare). This is, clearly, not a dom/sub relationship. This is necessary supervision. This is non-sexual. This is age regression.
If you are in a regressed headspace, the headspace of a literal child, how badly do you want to have sex? Not very badly, I’d imagine. (Although this isn’t always the case, I’ve known hypersexual age regressors that can’t help but feel sexual attraction when they’re regressed, but they tend to be a minority in the community.)
“But the CGLRE community did XYZ to me and I’m upset about it!”
While I am very sorry that you had a bad experience in the CGLRE community, your bad experience doesn’t speak for all members of the CGLRE community. I can understand if it’s impacted the way you view the community but it doesn’t invalidate the whole community or the people in it.
