practice social distancing by going to one of those vampire castles where the vampire will encourage you to stay for dinner but you have to sit at opposite ends of an extremely long table

We live underwater. We live nightly- Below, swimming, Beyond your human law. It is we who grant what mercy be From our own wild bosoms, From our beryl overflowing, Of our briny goodness. Blood is but salt And water. It is you, Man bringing red, And your women Vexed incarnadine; That human element- The violence, dark vinegar By an age on dry land. But take this veil. In the rush, In the black wave, Sail on, Ye plaintiff, Mastless. Our ecstasies We gracious keep, In jubilant dancing, With our beloved Deep.

Love this tumblr-local poet!
Pale Words
Sometimes I write too much for you words flung up into the sky how can they travel so vast they must get hung on low, gray clouds dazzled by the stars they may wander off into their own dreams
in all my chatter telegraphed across the ocean I am afraid to speak I miss you in the silences even inside my head maybe you are flying away as I float toward you
I can only offer my voice I send it to you in red envelopes scribbled with these words so pale mere ghosts of feeling perhaps not enough for life I hope to grow whole gardens of verse in my new world

Night People
You can say what you will about me, But I think there is a grace In afternoons woken into late, Traipsed through lazily In dressing gown Through airy sunlight’s Dust charmed beams, Bearing two coffee cups, Sighing steams.
And we can idle guiltless into evening’s Reveries, Or revelries All night’s certain certain And uncertainties- Both terrors and delights; Wherein we call upon our friends with drink In places dim and bright;
Or alone beneath far heaven's lights, Nurse our own mortality, Rendered by that shadow Cast only in the night.
