i refuse to ever be that guy that says "can't two people just be friends?" in response to shipping and shipping culture is normal and GOOD, BUT to an extent, i do think it's very telling how people react to deep friendships by insisting that they NEED to be romantic

specifically talking about how i just saw a hoard of people on twitter talking about how wednesday is bad because wednesday and enid may still have male love interests like in the first season instead of dating each other, and how they yuri baited the fanbase by... giving two girls a deep friendship. are we for reals 😭 are we for realsies right now

i love myself a good lesbian ship but not every good lesbian ship needs to be canonically romantic, sometimes you can just imagine them kissing while also understanding their canon friendship 🤷🏻‍♀️
