this is a great question && ty for asking !! i love when people send me random hc questions omg ... so the immediate, && accurate, answer is yes- but context is very important.

val only gets jealous when he feels he is no longer the most important person to his partner. he is poly && very much a believer in casual sex, so he doesn't get jealous when his partner is sexually involved with other people. so long as he remains the priority, he doesn't care at all what they do with other people. but once someone (real or perceived) becomes a threat to his position, he becomes jealous. like how he doesnt actually care that angel fucks other people, but when angel tries to leave him val completely freaks out.

additionally: val isn't jealous of alastor, he never really has been. i don't think he really feels threatened by alastor. vox's fixation on alastor he finds kinda funny most of the time but at worst it usually just annoys him bc then vox is pre-occupied and not paying attention to him.
