People need to understand this about autism:

Its morally neutral.

It's not a good or bad thing. It just exists. You have it, it's whatever. You might like some of it, you might hate some of it, you might like all of it or none of it. But it doesn't make you a good or bad person.

Understanding this helps avoid aspie supremacy as well as demonization of autism, I think. If I'm wrong, please politely correct me.

i am personally very enamoured with the concept of lois figuring out that clark is superman (or, superman is clark) BUT it’s also extremely important to me that this is done in a way that respects the glasses premise; no, it’s not about it being stupid or implausible or whatever that the world-class journalist ‘can’t see past a pair of glasses’. fundamentally, the clark kent story is about restraint. assimilation. the superman story is about how we look up and see a god and can’t fathom him as human. and this is where lois being the one who figures it out becomes interesting. what finally broke the clark kent/superman dichotomy for her? is it proximity? intimacy? did something major happen to either clark or superman? did something major happen to HER? there’s so much to play with and every single variation is infinitely more interesting than ‘he finally decided to tell her’.

Superman 2025 saw my feelings of hopelessness and aggressively took me by my shoulders and started shacking my back and forth. Saying it’s going to be ok there is a chance for a better tomorrow and people are kind. Then it wrapped me in a blanket and kissed me on the forehead. 10/10 movie the reviews weren’t kidding this movie can hold so much hope in it.

Thinking about how Superman look that shitty dictator and pushed him against a cactus and hurt him in the process of trying to prevent a war. Because it isn’t that Superman doesn’t hurt people, it’s that he does everything thing he can to avoid it and then when he does hurt people he tries to keep as many civilians out of harms way. World leaders and billionaires have the power to stop people from getting hurt and when they choose not to, that’s when Superman takes more drastic actions.
