Timeline maybe or a ‘post-G.U.’ in an new ‘Online Game’ but in the same universe) and for my Sonic OC who’s icons i got from Sonic Forces.  Coincidentally, my Mun-FC icons are from a game made by the same people who made dot Hack, you can really tell where that that G.U. art styles and such really inspired Solatorobo’s art style & enviroment, it even has a CC-corp reference in it))

Underage Smut: It IS Illegal

My affiliate as of late has been bombarded with questions concerning underage smut and I myself have covered the topic briefly in the past, but because it is apparently a very confusing issue for most people, I hope this post will put your questions to rest.

First, I need to address the fact that a lot of minors feel offended when people of age refuse to roleplay with them because they are underage. This often leads to people who are underage to lying about their age to be able to roleplay with people who are 18+. I think it’s important to address that in doing this, you can cause someone to be labeled a sex offender for the rest of their lives.

Think it’s not possible? In this day and age, it is. 

Speaking about Tumblr, specifically, its run under United States laws. Therefore, even if in your country it is okay to roleplay smut underage, if you’re roleplaying smut with someone underage who lives in the United States, it can get them in trouble regardless.

To quote the actual Department of Justice on the section of child pornography, “Additionally, the age of consent for sexual activity in a given state is irrelevant; any depiction of a minor under 18 years of age engaging in sexually explicit conduct is illegal.” [x]

This means that even if the age of consent in your state is 16, and the person you’re smutting with in another states age of consent is 18, they can still get into serious legal trouble.

Also, minors smutting with minors is also illegal. It is mostly relative to ‘sexting’ and the laws vary per state, but in most states, regardless of your age, you can be charged and convicted if found guilty. You can find information about your state [here], but regardless, it is safer and you keep not only yourself out of trouble, but your partner as well.

If the parents of a partner of yours who happens to be underage finds the logs of your roleplay, they can call the police and have it investigated and you could be charged. It is a very real thing that DOES happen and is capable of happening to you or your partner. Do not underestimate the power of the law through the internet. If someone feels that something is fishy, they can have it monitored if they think that their child is being exploited. It can fall under child exploitation laws.

It’s not about being able to consent between people. It’s not about being mature enough to handle such content. It is a legal problem. If you are underage, you don’t need to be smutting. You need to use ‘fade to black’ which is a term in the roleplay community that is defined as:  Often used within sexual scenes where the players end/skip a scene, though the actions are thought to be played out despite not being typed, and the scene picks back up after the skipped scene would have ended.

This means that none of the sexual acts are actually written out and you avoid any legal misconduct or issues because of this.

Writing out smut is not necessary. It is not necessary especially when in doubt of the other party and their age. If you feel that your partner is a minor, then you don’t need to smut with them. If you know, 100% that your partner is of legal age (eighteen) and you yourself are also of legal age, then smut is fine. 

Protect yourself. This goes for both people of age and people who are underage. 

It’s not worth it. It’s not worth to write erotica with someone with the result possibly ending with someone being a registered sex offender for the rest of their lives. 

Again, the age of consent in your state is 100% irrelevant when it comes to smut. You can still become charged by smutting with a minor if you’re of age OR if you’re underage as well. Smut when you’re eighteen. Period. Only smut. When you’re eighteen. Until then, don’t do it/use fade to black. 

Hopefully this covers everything, and I’ll update it if I’ve missed something.

TLDR; don’t smut if you’re underage, don’t smut with someone if they’re underage. Period. It can ruin your life or the life of someone else.

You are 16 years old. You shouldn’t be smutting, you’re underage and it can get other’s into trouble. Those people who are doing it willingly with you, should stop as well.

Max’s ears heard as Lunis started talking. It seemed that the Lupine hadn’t noticed they started talking once more. Frowning, the Goof wasn’t sure what to say. He’d never met Lunis’s friends, but, it was definitely sad that it seemed their relationship was over.

Max noted not to mention it again. He didn’t want to upset the other anymore.

Smirk soon reappeared, eyebrow cocking. Max shook his head, giving a small laugh,

“Never said you were a pushover,” Max corrected, “And I don’t doubt ya, just warning that you may get your ass kicked.” 

He laughed, leaning over to give a playful push. Just to prove that he was only teasing the other. Slumping down in his beanbag, Max clicked to start the game. Music began to play as they started their own rounds.

Only twenty minutes in, and there was a knock at the door. Max quirked his mouth to the side, almost pouting,

“Pizza’s here,” He murmured, clicking pause, “You wanna take a break and eat?”

Lunis took his mind off the talk about Ryan & Austin and shook his head and got his focus back on the game. “I played a lot of tony hawk games when i was a kid, I loved the Underground games, i preferred the ones where you could also get off the board.” Lunis said with a grin as the game booted up.

As they kept playing, Lunis sometimes swore at himself under his breath when he messed up a combo, Lunis mostly stuck too  trying too chain up grind combos, and grinned when he chained a x25 one, when he heard the door  he looked too Max. “Might as well, hard to combo with pizza in one hand and the controller in the other~” Luns said with a grin

Max smiled himself, a slight blush dusting his cheeks at the mention of the potential gay bar Lunis was heading too. No judgement, actually, the Goof would love to go - he was just too shy about letting his sexuality been known. Not yet.

Eyebrow rose at the mention of ‘him’. Just, who were they? The amount of emphasis put onto that word alone give the Goof a bad vibe. there was no way there were many good memories to do with this stranger.Max chuckled, giving a playful push to the Lupine’s shoulder at the mention of this ‘cute guy’,

“Ooh, someone’s got a crush,” Max teased, “Does this cute guy have a name?”

Smile dropped. It was a shame about Austin but, maybe he could be swayed to tag along. It would make things a lot smoother. Max had a feeling it wouldn’t be so easy though. 

Kicking back, the dog shrugged, deciding that prying further may not be the best option. No need to ruin their rainy afternoon of gaming.

“Hell yeah,” Max agreed, turning his controller on, “Just to warn, I’m pretty good.”

Was that egotistical of him to say? Maybe. But it was true. When Max wasn’t arting, skateboarding, or obsessing over his near killer, he was video gaming. Not like any of his room mates really cared anyway. 

Lunis was silent for a moment before clapping and grinning “It’s definitely the taught knot! i remember now!” the lupine exclaimed happily “The Taught Knot, it’s part of that ‘Big Grill’ restaurant brand chain, oh god they have the best burgers! mmm!” Lunis began grinning thinking of the food already.

Lunis had a slight sullen look on his face after bringing up the person he hates the most if only by the word ‘him’, then his face turned to an embarrassed blush when Max asked about the crush, the Lupne cleared his throat. “W..well talking to him, A lot of what he went through.... I Can relate too, he’s very kind, he’s working as a Mechanic with the man who adopted him... he’s very affectionate and... i think he likes me back...” Lunis closed his eyes and smiled. “I...Can’t wait too see Aka again too be honest.” 

Lunis’ thoughts drifted too Austin, he rubbed his own arm and sighed.... there was more too what he was saying, in truth, Austin & Ryan have been arguing more often lately and the up-coming meal as friends is more to try and clear the air between the pair... he uttered without even thinking... “I think it’s just over between them both...” The lupine didn’t even realise he spoke.

The Lupine smirked, raising an eyebrow at the pre-game cockiness Max was showing. “You’ve never seen me game Max, I am one hell of a Gamer, don’t think i’m just a push over” the Lupine winked with a huge grin. “I know my way around a virtual skate-board”
