Lord Kallig
Lord Kallig is the the lead founder and current sovereign of The Novus Regna and is the proclaimed Everchosen of the Primordials, or more accurately the Everchosen of Chaos.
He previously served as a soldier of the Astra Militarum prior to his adoption of his current identity and title, and successfully succeeded from the Imperium by founding the Novus Regna in the fringes of Segmentum Pacificus. Since then he has successfully maintained his independence from both the Imperium and other factions within the Galaxy, with even some cases of cooperation with local Imperial Elements.
The Inquisitorial Ordo Luciferian have taken an interest in both him and the nature of his title of Everchosen, and despite official claims and records have had direct interactions with Kallig.
---
Brief Biography
Kallig was born and lived his early life on Haddir Gir, living a life of little note. In his late teenage years, he signed on with the reforming 28th Praesidium Infantry Regiment of the Astra Militarum.
He served with distinction during these years but avoided promotion to a commissioned role, likely due to a mixture of personal intention and support from others within the command structure. He served with the regiment for [REDACTED] campaigns, concluding this service with the Uaarvar Campaign against Heretic Astartes of the Word Bearers Legion and aligned heretics.
After the campaign, the regiment was returned to Praesidium Domina to resupply and reorganise for future deployments. From the campaign, Kallig had come into possession of an unnamed artifact which caused his exposure to the warp and he became radicalised against the Imperium. He was able to spread his ideology within his regiment, as well as others present with the resupplying action.
After instruction to withhold deployment, guardsmen were granted leave and during this time his beliefs spread further into the civilian populations and to various other worlds within the Sector. After some time, a mass uprising, triggered by unaware Imperial governors, occurred which became known as the Nova Banner Crisis.
[Details of the Nova Banner Crisis Redacted, Pending Further Entries]
After resolution of the Crisis, the Imperium was forced to withdraw their loyalists from the sector and an uneasy, before eventually a stable, cease fire to hostilities was formed between them and the newly formed Novus Regna. While a surprisingly amount of the sector was easily recoverable post Crisis, the new state would undergo a great degree of reformation and bolstering to better facilitate their defense from other Imperial attacks.
Beyond matters of state, Kallig worked personally to ensure he was not blind to the galaxy around him and after better understanding his powers he was able to travel around to other worlds and systems. Despite what would appear to be in his best interest, Lord Kallig encouraged the formation of the Halo Commonwealth which is a small collection of Imperial worlds and systems bordering the Novus Regna. This situation has allowed for a far more stable peace and even cooperative action against piratical or orkoid threats.
---
Physical Description
Despite his extensive mutations described further down, Kallig still maintains a near wholly human appearance. His most visible mutation are his softly glowing amber eyes, crested with a rippling red edge to his sclera which has been described by some as being a fire in his eyes.
Overall his physique is that which could be expected from a Militarum Veteran, even having a battlefield of scars decorating his body before being later removed biomantically. He lacks any of the typical branding or ritual scars which are common with other individuals who utilize Chaos powers, and is also devoid of Imperial tattoos. The only visibly artificial element to his body is a cybernetic lower left arm, connected at the elbow. While he could almost certainly heal the wound he has instead facilitated growth to better integrate with the prosthetic, holding a symbolic or sentimental value to it.

Tumblr media
Personality
While aptly described on the outside as a man of many faces, Kallig has developed an ever flexible expression of his self which can quite heavily adapt to the scenarios he finds himself in. This becomes far more apparent when comparing his public persona as the head of the kingdom and when in private situations.
Despite the passion he could channel through himself, he has a personal dislike of unleashing his passions in violent outbursts. Instead he goes almost mechanical in his systematic deconstruction of a foe.
While Kallig is convicted for his personal beliefs, he is rarely known to try and actively influence others to his perspective. In most cases briefly explaining his view or even just seeking to explore the views of others.
Despite being born into the Imperium, Kallig hasn’t shown any apparent prejudice towards aliens or mutants, beyond those which curry deserving reputations such as Orks. The only group he has shown a disgust towards has been astartes, with particular disdain to those of the Black Templars, and only those who can get personally close can break this opinion of them.

Boons and Mutations
After becoming the Everchosen, Kallig gained countless greater and minor boons from pacts with chaotic entities. Most are greatly connected with one another, either as a cause or response to another. The main large groupings of boons however are;
---
Psychic Potential
Originally being a psionically mundane human, Kallig has been granted and has learned to master a newly developed connection with the Immaterium. Unlike other psykers, The Everchosen had his powers unlock more gradually, likely linked with his daemonic symbiosis developing, and this allowed him to more effectively handle his growing well of power.
Despite this, in cases of extreme duress he has been able to remove or have removed his limitations and in one such case he sundered apart the Black Templars strike cruiser “Apostle's Path”, while executing all on the vestle from the psychic pressure of the action.
---
Daemonic Symbiosis
Kallig is connected to at least four identified warp entities, each one being a manifestation from the major Chaos Gods. Khaalzahak, Shassanki, Truzkuuth, Robigo Deos, respectively being envoys of Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, and Nurgle. Each of the entities have different degrees of connection and influence over the Everchosen and in return receive various boons from the connections.
---
Physical Adaptation
While still bearing the physical appearance of a human, Kallig’s baseline physiology has adapted quite a bit beyond. Likely starting as a reaction to his increased psionic powers, neigh on all components of his physiology have been laced with modifications which increase the psycho-conductivity of his body, and to an extent granting a soft resistance to psychic nullification. While not immune to high level blanks or blank like projections, he is not incapacitated by their presences.
This situation did cause early attempts at medical treatment or biomantic reconstruction to cause undesirable and partially uncontrolled growths. Later experience has allowed for a mastery of his own physiology by learning to focus his powers within specific aspects.

Praesidium
Segmentum: Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princepts
Sub-Sector: Fertafas
The Praesidium System is the bordering system for the Novus Regna and the Imperium, and previously acted as a border of the Imperium and otherwise untamed space.
All the worlds are fortified complexes with defences which date back to the era of the Great Crusade. While insufficient to be considered a fortress world on an individual basis, the worlds have been able to reliably withstand any threat the Imperium or Orks have thrown at them.
While acting as the defensive stronghold of the Kingdom, the Praesidium worlds have also become known as the main coordination centre for the Praesidium Guard forces, as well as interplanetary training of the Territorial Reserves.
---
The Praesidium Guard
The professional military forces for the Novus Regna, the Praesidium Guard evolved from the ‘Praesidium Steel Bloods’ who served the Imperium under the Astra Militarum. Unrestrained by decrees binding the forces, the Praesidium Guard have been able to reform themselves with effective combined arms formations and consequently granting them greater operational effectiveness and flexibility.
There are regiments based upon the traditions existing within Territorial Reserves of specific worlds. One notorious example is the Haddirian Yeomen from Haddir Gir.
---
System Worlds
Praesidium Primus
Command station of the Praesidium system, and the practical hub for military command within the Novus Regna, Primus oversees all military actions and logistical management of forces. It is deemed significant enough to gain its own choir and thus means of communication with the rest of the kingdom with ease as well as the Imperium if required.
Praesidium Messre
Exploiting the orkoid infestation on minor landmasses, Messre has become known mostly for its use as a live training ground for guard formations. This has gained a controversial reputation, but the results have been effective enough to dissuade complete purging of orkoid presences.
Praesidium Osmerta
Named after the Imperial Saint Rosalie Osmerta, the world is known as one of the first to openly rebel against the Imperium during the Nova Banner Crisis. Within more recent history it has been a centre point for ‘Operation Ferrum’ with support of the Celestial Geists.

Praesidii Variations
Having sourced themselves from various planetary cultures, the Praesidium Guard Regiments at the disposal of the Novus Regna are influenced by the practices of their local Reserve arms. Proposals to unify the practices of the Regiments and Reserves have been vetoed by at least a third of all involved with the matters.
Classifications
For the simplicity of regimental designation and classification, the origin worlds of the various Praesidium Guard Regiments are noted within their regimental number. When regiments have been lost, destroyed or otherwise reformed, regimental numbers have been reused and the legacy of former regiments is typically held by the newer formation.
While there is some overlap with the Imperial Classifications, these are coincidental in nature as Imperial assignment utilised a different guideline.
Osmertan Guard - Prefix 1
Considered the stereotypical Praesidium Regiments, the Osmertan Guards laid the standard doctrine for the wider kingdom. They are almost completely composed of mechanised and armoured forces, using this mobility and protection to be more brazen in seizing the initiative of any engagements.
Referencing Praesidium Osmerta specifically, the sources of the Osmertan Guard are from all the Praesidium worlds. Osmerta was simply chosen due to the spiritual significance of the Saint.
Daevus Guard - Prefix 2
The Daevus have adapted the mechanised warfare principles laid out by the Osmertans and refined it towards Urbanised warfare, with a preference towards defensive actions. Armoured elements are utilised more akin to mobile hard points which allow for reactive actions to reinforce focal points.
Their defensive preference has also been displayed in their adoption of new equipment, with the Dormarth being seen as inferior to the Leman Russ.
Haddiran Guard - Prefix 3
Using the alternative name of the Haddirian Yeomen, they are formed from the Reservists of Haddir Gir. Predominantly sourced form Clan Zethar due to sheer size, the Yeomen are specialist light infantry with experience with reconnaissance and skirmishing as well as infiltration and extender period independent deployments. Their armoured contingent used to be significantly smaller but have seen a recent swelling after the adoption of the Dormath family of vehicles.
Legacy Guard - Prefix 0
As a side effect of regimental restructuring, many formations were left after the Nova Banner Crisis and Novus Regna formation. Instead of looking to override their history, they were universally given the numerical prefix 0 to initiate this history within the Imperium.
The members of these formations weren’t active during the Imperial era instead they were often reformed into a specialist element for the Guard, sourcing recruits from the veterans of other regiments.
Anticipated Regimental Formations
With the expanding borders of the Novus Regna, there have been administrative preparations for the organisation of new Regimental designations. These include
Periita Guard - Prefix 4
Artificer Guard - Prefix 5
Malagastian Guard - Prefix 6
Makabians - Prefix 7*
Kikreth - Prefix 7*
*Due to the unknown state of what may result from integration of Sv’vaden into the Novus Regna, Makabians and Kikreth have been assigned the same designation.

Deus Gewlas
Segmentum: Pacificus
Sector: Terminus Princepts
Sub-Sector: Fertafas
Deus Gewlas is the core system to the Novus Regna and acts as a seat of power through the kingdom. It acts as the centre for both economic and political matters, with its geographic position making transit within its space significantly more reliable than alternative routes.
Before the rise of the Everchosen, it did still hold an administrative position over the local systems. Commanded by the Triarchs of Daevus which managed the three inhabited worlds of the system, these political factions evolved into the more democratic and corporate institutions which now oversee planetary governance.
System Worlds
Daevus Gema
The capital of the capital system, Daevus Gema still holds its imperial legacy proudly. The world itself is a model ‘Civilised’ world with a strong degree of self sufficiency for general management however imports of specialist skills and rare materials are required with more specialty matters.
Praesidium Domina
Connecting with the Praesidium system, Domina is the technical home of the Praesidium military command as well as the training grounds for new forces of Territorial Reserves and transitioning Territorial Reserves into fully formed military formations.
Haddir Gir
Mislabeled by the Imperium as an Agri World, Haddir Gir has been a stubborn world in accepting the Imperialisation of their culture and traditions. When they were ‘relieved’ of their Agri Tithes, they have flourished into a bastion of Pre-Imperium culture.

The Phantom Worlds
The Phantom Worlds are the collective name of warp anomalies encountered by vessels traveling with Warp Travel. While present before, they became more frequent after the opening of the Cicatrix Maledictum. Imperial records have recorded sixteen unique systems. Due to the inconsistent availability of any renegade records, it is unclear how many recorded cases of the ‘Phantom Worlds’ have been encountered by non Imperial elements.
Attempted examination of the worlds directly have shown a distinct absence of any presence of human or xenos presence. Faunal presences have been detected but none suggested any external influences. Traces of previous expeditions have been impossible to find when a world has been encountered multiple times, suggesting it is more of a warp based anomaly rather than an unexplored area of the void.

Novus Regna
Capital: Daevus Gema (Deus Gewlas system)
Form of Government: Interplanetary Monarchy, Planetary Governance Varies
Head of State: Lord Kallig, Everchosen of the Primordials
State Religion: The Anfa’Bif, Imperial Cult (The Osmertan Sacrosanct)
Military Forces: Praesidium Regiments, Territorial Reserves
Internal Security: Justicar Temples, Planetary Verisacara
The Novus Regna is an independent galactic dominion which broke away from the Imperium during mid M38. The Imperium records the region as being a ‘Chaos Domain’ however such an assessment is more propaganda than truth. There is a religious body within the Kingdom but this is largely built upon foundations of the Imperial Cult.
During the early years from its break away and reformation, the kingdom was under frequent waves of conflict with the Imperium to ensure its own independence within the galaxy. This situation eventually stabilised and reached a stage of recognition where the Imperium deemed the region not worth the value to reclaim the territory.
Systems
The Novus Regna is composed of three primary systems, all formerly Imperial territories which turned sepratist during the Nova Banner Crisis for varying reasons. While interconnected they are capable at being self-sufficient, especially when dealing with Warp Anomalies common within the region.
Deus Gewlas
Deus Gewlas is the seat of power at the core of the Kingdom. It acts as a primary hub for the many relations which intertwine the Novus Regna as well as the main routes power, man and materials are shipped through.
Praesidium
A fortified network of worlds and orbital stations, the PRaesidium system acts as the bulwark which defends from the Imperium and plundering Orks. While unable to withstand a fully mustered Imperial Crusade, it has been able to hold back threats it has been faced with previously.
Other worlds within the Regna which act as military mustering points do also share the prefixed name of ‘Praesidium’ despite not being present within the system.
Periitos
A husk of a system, it was most heavily purged during the Nova Banner Crisis with human populations cleansed by various Imperial forces. Partial repopulation has been undertaken, especially on Teratas, but Vorago has been marked as irrecoverable and is instead the site for major salvaging operations which grants resource swells to the Empire and granting its ability to maintain its relative durability.
Local Relations
While officially the Imperium rejects any interactions with Non-Imperial bodies, local systems within the Segmentum have had positive relations with the Novus Regna. Admiral Ornelius, officially retired from his role as Terminus Fleet Admiral, has become a point of communication with the Novus Regna to facilitate less official cooperation between groups where broader Imperial reaction would be required but unable to be raised within the time needed.
There have been a number of worlds near the Novus Regna which have been either neglected or entirely untouched by the Imperium. Attempts have been made to draw them into the fold, allowing for mutual cooperation, and in cases like Sv’vaaden granting access to assets which they otherwise cannot access.
