It’s been quite a minute since our last post. Apologies, we’ve been all sorts of tied up with the crisis. But we tied Spark in the basement let Spark work freely while we were away, and we've progressed much further than expected!
Progress Report
LITE Album
A lot in a little time, LITE now has a basic body, a completed Mask and head shape, and the start of some clothes, though they are subject to change.
The Future
Hopefully we will begin physical building in the near future, though for the moment we're focusing on refining this project and taking input from those interested. LITE is a small project quickly expanding with our ideas being able to be applied to multiple projects. We're embracing that, so leave us any ideas or requests and we can implement it, or put it into another creation.
Reminder of Project LITE
Project Lite is a small group project born from the boredom of COVID-19 quarantine with a focus on creating a fursuit that uses technology to provide a comfortable, visibly appealing and mechanically interesting suit. This includes a slim cooling system, inbuilt LED lights with facial features, a control panel on the suit for said lights, and other small but impactful additions. All of this on a budget, too! While changes are made with each pass, the core idea is always in play: A fun and interesting take on tech-equipped fursuits beyond the current industry standard.

What is Project LITE?
Origins
Project LITE is a concept created by our team amidst the COVID-19 issues. What started out as a concept for a mask to be worn during a livestream as part of a character (Which is still going to be done!) we eventually implemented furry design into a V2, and thus was born our character Lite.
We’ve since begun working with the code, materials, and even trying to lower the cost revolving around such a project. We’ve already gone through two previous designs that we determined were too bulky.
What Species is Lite?
While we're not releasing the name just yet (as it still might change!) Lite's design is based off a western dragon head, an angular face meant to end at a point with a smooth shape, perfect for sitting comfortably and lightly on a head, while being able to hold the electronics necessary.
Is this species open?
Not yet, but eventually! We want to finish our sketches, create a public base, and start work on a physical model. After all of that, you're welcome to create your own character. We'll even help!
If you're interested, we're seeking artists who might be willing to assist in 2D references. None of our team are extremely skilled in that area, as we are mostly 3D and IRL designers.
Can I help?
Yes! We're accepting help in most any form, as we've got a lot to do. If you have any skills in 2D Art, 3D Art, Reference creating, or if you have suggestions (or want to help in a way we might not think of) please come to us! We're open here through the ask us function, or you can communicate with us on Discord, directly to Spark, the team lead. Roxas1156#2924
If you have any questions, ask away. We're here to answer, just give us time as we may be designing, or social distancing

A little preview of LITE’s head design in Blender. It’s still a little wide, but this is a basic outline reference that we’re working with, and what we’ll eventually use for a first head prototype. The orange and purple lines show were the eye LEDs will be, the black line is the lower jaw, and right about here will be LEDs for a mouth. The green drawing up top is a surprise (totally wasn’t an accident we ran with...)
