i like when you watch a video essay from 5+ years ago and they make a joke/apologize for how long the video is and the runtime is like. 35 minutes. when we now live in an era of 3 hour intricate breakdowns of bad kids shows being everywhere.

its crazy that a lot of what we call 'video essays' these days are basically low budget documentaries on increasingly weird and niche topics. no network approval no tv budget just one guy with maybe a hired editor/writer and a couple of friends willing to read voice lines. and then they put it on youtube like its no big deal. insane.

The internet is a really great tool, and self diagnosis can be ppls only option, but that also requires you be extra careful about identifying misinformation.

And you certainly cannot police other people’s disabilities, regardless of diagnosis status. Your experience is not the only experience of your disorder

Obviously im fine with self diagnosing do ya thang however some self diagnosed autistic people have a really mystical idealistic idea of what an autistic “community” is going to entail and I fear for when they realize any group of autistic people is not going to be solidarity club for sensitive souls it’s probably going to be a group of people being kind of rude to each other at all times and playing dnd
