They have two pets, Baxter and Ophelia. These pets of stars sound adorable, and I love the names he gave them. I wonder if they’d share some pet photos with us, or at least give their pets some extra scritches?

Tobias also likes music! I'd love to hear their favorite songs, I bet they've got good taste. Supernatural is a show that he likes. I'm sure he's heard of all the crazy things that keep popping up about the actors, that must be entertaining for him.

They also have an interest in butch/femme culture. That's really cool, I hope they have fun with that! Queer history is super interesting, and he probably hears about that as well, since they're pretty well intertwined. Is there a favorite aspect of butch/femme culture of theirs that he likes to talk or learn about?

The 2023 Gender Census is now open!

The 10th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 9th May 2023.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.

ok i’m so sorry this is a lot and you can feel free to ignore it but we’re trying to figure stuff out for a headmate of ours.

names lainie, rick, and kyro, and pronouns she/her and he/him. if possible, could each name be done separately? if there’s a default template pls feel free to just use that, if there isn’t, rick is a super talented guitarist, loves photography and stuff like that, and likes elephants :)

anyways not doing any further label discourse on here, how u label urself and what a label means to u is entirely up to urself and no one else and anyone who tells u otherwise can shut the fuck up like its not that deep, words inherently just mean what meaning u give to them and theyre words FOR YOU and ABOUT YOU and only u decide what u are.

there really are no consequences for being wrong about your gender, orientation, etc. for a while, btw. if you try something and it just doesn't fit, it's better to have tried and found out than to be left wondering.

there's no test you need to pass or license u need to hold to trans your gender - you can just decide one day that u feel like doing something different. if ur waiting for permission, i'm giving u permission. go be happy.

If you unable to come out because you fear for your safety or well-being or because you know it will cause you substantial discomfort, that is not a defect in you. It’s a failure of the society in which you live and the community surrounding you.

If you just don’t want to share that part of yourself, that is valid and I support you
