in the wolf forest set, minori tends to pull at her (goat) ears or her horns when she's stressed or anxious. not enough to hurt herself in any way though.

Minorin... !!! Absolutely, but maybe she even does pinch them enough that she feels a little sting and stresses herself out more ... poor thingggg. At a point she probably changes to ringing the bell on her bow as an alternative - a lot easier to find her though when she's upset...

Hi hi, I have a submission about the newest Emu, Mafuyu and Honami set! I personally see them as a group of ghosts who died in unrelated ways and places (Emu was a circus entertainer who died due to a performance accident, Mafuyu was a nurse who somehow caught a disease from one of her patients and didn't get treated properly, I'm not really sure about Honami (consumption maybe?)) who all started to live in the same mansion so they're sorta afterlife roommates, but I'd also love to hear your thoughts and ideas!

(references because it's been so long !) Ohhh, that's wonderful! I do love it. Maybe they can be in some mansion, perhaps the once-grand Otori estate left to ruin after the disastrous loss of a sunshine in their life? One of those tales told and frowned upon, maybe even cautionary ... Perhaps Honami could be a cause of poisoning, or a foodborne illness, I like Mafuyu playing nurse too -- perhaps she was an intern, perhaps she was suspectable to whatever viral disease she was suspect too but did not want to burden anyone with being less than a perfectly good girl -- that the growing sickness and pain is no worry, that she pushed on with bared teeth and dimmed eyes until she was bedridden and at a stage of she was beyond medicine. The afterlife roommates could be cute, I want to see Honami scared by Mafuemu even though she's a ghost too... I want to see who is brave enough to venture into the haunted remnants of the Otori estate... maybe its a sight for a school festival until real spirits beyond their props come out...

Maybe Mafuyu has been after this fallen angel for years, in an impossible quest to earn the senior hunters' trust seeking something that cannot be caught. Kanade, then, still relying on the scraps of her angelic nature she still has, tries to aid Mafuyu, constantly appearing just out of the corner of one's eye, behind corners, hidden in the shadows, never quite there but always unintentionally taunting the poor hunter. A game with no victor, the price of which is one nobody sane would be willing to pay.

Maybe get colorfes Rin and Len in on this too? Like they're watching over the two of them, they want to aid their fallen sister and her charge but are unable to do anything by angelic code or something.

ooh I'd like to request a headcanon for the "a bright future" 4* cards. I always saw this one as like a "military" kind but you do whatever <3

I can definitely see why everyone thinks of this as military, I think it's really the hats that do it. Personally, though, I like to think of this set in one of two ways: It literally is just a photoshoot for an mv for their new album, and they're attempting a more edgy look. Black Rock Shooter kind of vibes, you know? The other way I like to think about it is that they're some kind of secret society, hunting down monsters in the middle of the night like vampires or the like. The backgrounds also give me strong Land of the Lustrous vibes for some reason, so maybe we can count that in as like they're living in some kind of post-apocalyptic world and are the last bastion against invaders. I think it'd be fun to tie this together with the Regulus and Made to Order sets too!

Anyway. Their magical powers involve using color and pigments to fight off evil (think like Epic Mickey). Emu and Len use paint, Airi uses makeup, maybe they'd have other members in their squad using things like glitter or like rainbow prisms and things like that. Emu would be the leader, driving back the darkness with light and color one battle at a time!

I could actually make this into a shuffle unit. Food for thought!

Oooo interesting choices! Let's see...

Perhaps Rui is a spirit tied to a passenger train (maybe he died in some kind of murder on the orient express type thing), and he's fated to eternally be a passenger on the train until he figures out how to move on. Shizuku then could be new to the town where the train's major stop is, and she works at the train station as a receptionist of some kind? Selling tickets? Len could either be one of her coworkers or the young boss of the train company who knows about Rui but keeps that secret.

One day Shizuku would set foot onto the train to check on something, or retrieve a lost item, and encounters the spectral passenger. Out of compassion for his situation, she decides to work with him to find a way to free his soul, even if eventually she finds she doesn't want to part with him.

Tsukasa is a detective, having solved many supposedly impossible cases over the years, and yet he finds himself completely befuddled by this new case. Things are being damaged, people report seeing dark shadows racing by their windows in the night, and even signs of fights down dark alleys. And yet none of these provide any clues as to who is being so reckless and what their goals are! It's infuriating!

It's all actually the product of a young witch in training trying new spells and failing miserably at them. Cleaning spells end up breaking the items they're supposed to clean, her attempts to summon a familiar create shadow creatures that exist for mere hours before disappearing, and that time she tried to manifest a penguin plushie for Haruka it ended up exploding! She's just trying her best and is completely oblivious to the confusion she's causing.

AU IDEA : In which, Tsukasa and Rui are half-human half-yokai thing. Akito and Touya are spirit hunters/exorcists. Chaos ensues.

I can imagine that Akito and Touya were given a mission to hunt down these "Mischievous yokais". So they went around trying to capture them while said yokais are just fucking around with the hunters.

Also Akikasa and Ruitoya we love to see them

But yes!! I love the idea of maybe a half-kitsune Tsukasa and... actually Rui's supposed to be the master of a gashadokuro so what if he's like actually a shifter of some sorts and can turn into a full gashadokuro. Tangent aside. Maybe Akito and Touya are like experienced monster hunters, having taken down vampires and zombies and djinns and everything in between, but somehow these two fucking idiot yokai are running circles around them! How?!?

Maybe they don't even know they can take human form so they're all at school together and Akitouya have no goddamn clue

Another tough one, I kinda struggled finding ones that fit here together, but... Listen hear me out.

Y'all know the song Snowman by halyosy? It's a similar idea.

Mafuyu ran away from home in the dead of winter, escaping that dark and oppressive place, but having nowhere to go since Kanade isn't in the picture. After running for a long time, he comes across a snow sculpture and an abandoned framework for another snow sculpture in the park. The spirits of the two sculptures, Shizuku and Tsukasa, accompany Mafuyu throughout the winter, helping him find a place to stay and encouraging him to be himself, all the while knowing that when spring comes, Shizuku will melt and Tsukasa will be torn down and thrown away.

It takes most of the winter, but finally as the snow begins to melt, they manage to get Mafuyu to Kanade's house. Satisfied that their charge is safe, the two of them disappear, knowing that he'll be okay.

Usually I pair Fes Rui with Fes Tsukasa (I'll type that up if anyone wants to hear my thoughts) but hear me out here. Tsukasa is a newly ascended deity, who doesn't actually know what he's supposed to be the god of. Rui, a space deity who has been around for millennia, takes pity on him and decides to help the young god find his purpose. Being a dragon now, Tsukasa has no issues going into space with Rui to explore, and Rui travels across Earth with Tsukasa and ends up learning more about humanity.

When Tsukasa does find his purpose, he has to stay on Earth, but Rui visits him almost daily and they share in the grand and small things they observe, all the changes that occur over the years, and what stays the same. A bond not easily broken.

i do have to admit my first thought was bodyguard, but i will try my hardest because i can do better than that! Though, my other idea is rather generic too - Haruka is hired as a marksman and a hit on prince Toya, when she's pulled in a political power struggle (i am thinking in terms of an AU of WD2023 and WD2024 in warring kingdoms - as well as the white knights and 2022 valentines set.) Getting rid of the prince forever would cause a drastic turmoil, weakening the defences by sending the kingdom into disarray. It's a reluctant commitment, to save Minori and Airi's life as a bargaining chip against her, as well as ASRUN being a kind of mercenary group she used to work with before trying to stray from that life; these events (and her desire to not want to do this) are reminding her of a drastic and devastating injury that happened to Mai because of her hesitance. More below the cut so I do not clog things -

Of course, Toya's situation is no better; being sheltered (perhaps, isolated as a punishment for insolence prior) in a tower by his father in an almost fairytale esque scenario of a princess in a tower guarded by a dragon. Though, music calms the beast and he doesn't have much else to do in his isolation aside from play the piano for himself -- it just so happens that the dragon is soothed by his playing. It makes him contemplate due to his struggles of what it means of his father's will actually helping him. Haruka makes her way to do her job, thoughts of Mai in the back of her head and Airi and Minori's safety eating at her, ascends the tower and hears the piano, a lonesome yet utterly beautiful melody that feels like its player is trying to grapple with something (much like herself) -- before seeing sandstone-thick black scales coiled up, the dragon they belong to, and her target just by it; troubled and focused. Ah, I'm a sap. So, it's probably more a chat of Haruka lowering her weapon, the dragon too at peace to snap at her and Toya and her chatting -- perhaps a hard feeling of why she came here, but an understanding of being pressured into something she doesn't want to do anymore, backed into a corner with no escape ... It's up to you, if this is any interest of you! I had fun writing it, do they have a resolve to work together, make a getaway upon a tamed dragon for both of them to take back their choices despite fear weighing on them? Or do one or the other falter in their worries of trusting a stranger leading to a fierce fight? Maybe Haruka worries what Minori and Airi would think about a dragon... she doesn't want to frighten them to death before helping them out! - mod toya
