Reminder for my new followers- the all of 1 of you who aren't bots, anyway.
*Kicks the dust off*

Some Holier-Than-Thou Fuck: "Dont shoplift, it inconveniences minimum wage workers and could get them fired :(((("
Me, a grocery store employee that literally watched a guy stuff 10 steaks into a stolen reusable bag at the checkout counter and watched him leave without paying, and without anybody being fired or getting into trouble at all: "You sure?"

“The closer rebel characters come to a definable ideology, the more likely they are to be written as villains. At the same time, the emotive aspects of rebellion - the heroism of the underdog, the thrill of fighting the power - are rendered safe for public consumption by taking out any explicit political ideology. … The effect of all this is to suggest that violence is somehow more sympathetic the less its perpetrators believe - that heroism decreases the more detailed your policy proposals get. If Luke Skywalker was fighting for galactic communism, or Daenerys intended to create a series of peasants’ councils to govern Westeros, or Harry Potter wanted to smash the Ministry of Magic and overturn wizard supremacy, we would have to confront serious and difficult questions about when political violence is appropriate, for whose benefit, and for what purposes. I don’t believe those are questions pop culture is incapable of asking. They are questions we do not want to ask.”

Protecting people who are seen as worthless in society - drug addicts, sex workers, homeless people etc - is absolutely central to antifascism because their destruction is central to fascism

Why does using tor with a VPN make it less secure?
VPNs bottleneck your traffic through one centralized connection before sending it through Tor, meaning if that VPN is malicious, receives a warrant from the government, or is attacked, they have records of both who you are and what you were doing (plus your financial information if you’re paying for it), completely circumventing the point of Tor. That’s not particularly likely to happen, but it is adding another security risk with virtually no benefit to you. The Tor Project recommends against it
Tor is decentralized and sends your data through a string of encrypted connections so that no one party can simultaneously know both who you are and what you’re doing, making it safe against that kind of spying

I suppose now might be a good time for people to learn about Kamala Harris' record of screwing over native american tribes in california thru repeated opposition and blocking and invalidating of tribal land-into-trust applications and trying to block tribal gaming for revenue during her time as AG... just in case anyone wanted another reason to say fuck you on top of the whole "locking up mothers and children and denying trans people hormones" reasons.

“Without economic and ecological justice (known as ecojustice) and without God’s preferrential love for the poor and for this planet, the love for God and the longing for oneness seem to me to be an atomistic illusion.”
