I wanna talk more abt helm stuff in the context of my kin lolll

Like. 'Me' and 'the ship' are on two ends of a spectrum, on one end is me(psii jsyk lol) and the other is my ship(battleship condescension, but my name for her is different lol). Its only on those extremes that i can be distinguished from the ship, as i am integrated into it haha, but thats more on a physiological level, less mental? Mentally i am(or was? Idk how to explain my kin, its less of a past life and more of somthing else?) Myself, but i am also fully entwined w my ship meaning i feel what she feels and i hear her thoughts(not irl ofc, just in kin stuff) and she communicates w me and vice versa. We are one and yet, there is enough of a distinction for me to be in love with her, theres enough of 'me' and enough of 'her' that is separate that i have capacity to feel love for her.

I feel as though my ship is sentient on her own, even without me powering her. I feel her soul and i feel her heartbeat echoed through mine(or maybe its the other way around?) All i want to do is be in space w her... space is home... she is home.

Ofc if you are a helmsman and you are fully integrated and see no mental distinction w ur ship along with lack of physiological distinction, then thats cool i totes get it, like genuinely! Its hard when you are installed as a piece of technology into a larger piece of technology to see yourself as separate from it. Its easy(and kinda nice) to meld and melt into the sea of data and to fully let go, to just. Not Be anymore, and instead transcend into a new phase of the troll species. Or maybe its not the new phase, maybe singularity is only for psionic gold bloods.

Idk i do have mixed feelings about being helmed, like obvi i think *almost* any helmsman is gonna wish it never happened, or will be fearful of it ever happening and im no different, however. Idk.. i wouldnt trade it for anything? Like. Idk... in kin canon stuff, as psii, i feel like, Complete? W all my computer hardware and ports and the biometal installed into my brain and body i feel like this is what i was meant to be. As a helmsman i do feel i have transcended trollhood into something of an angel or demi-deity.

Idk just having helm thoughts :3

I feel that, in terms of like. Psii kin stuff like at some point definitely losing the distinction of self, but i think where i differ is that like. In canon i was immediately smitten? Althoooo that could have been like. Reprogramming? Like when the helmtechnician was installing all the putery stuff i suppose i could have been rewired(in a sense) to be receptive of the ship, but who knows lol
