Next of Kin Chapter 11 - Of Broth and Blood

With a successful resurrection on the first Bishop, Narinder and Sabine head out on an expedition to Anura in the quest to find the remains of his sister. With some unanticipated assistance they discover the domain is as Heket used to be: vile and rancid with its own sense of a domineering presence. And yet with such powerful land comes just as powerful memories for a god who thought himself immutable. He's beginning to crack. A new chapter has been crowned longest so far with a whopping 19k words. AND it wasnt even the longest wait time between chapters. Truly a new record for me 😎 Pretty chuffed with it, I can see my good and bad bits more clearly now and hopefully the next chapters can be better due to it. Enjoy!

Figured to do less with these upcoming references given I kept (and still am) redoing them for Nari and Sab so- save me some hassle in the future if I ever change anything with him. Was originally quite annoyed cause I couldn't think of a way to make him a bit unique per se, but I feel like giving him one of his eyes back as I am such a humble god would be neat, that and leaning into the bagworm species with his own lil hat! Still gotta develop him more narratively since he's only just been revived but now there's a shit-eating grin to the shit-talking worm thing. Hoorah!
