Realm of the Elderlings Speculative Typing

Like I said, this I'd speculative cuz I only just finished the first book! Won't go into detail, I'll just leave their type. This is mainly to see how much my opinions on the characters change the more I read! I'll try to do one of these after everytime I finish a book in the series (only if my opinion changes)

If your still doing classpects, could you maybe cook up something for a prospit dreaming Thief of Breath? Blogs that do this are just such a dying breed and I seriously need some help bouncing ideas around for a character of mine; thanks in advance for your help!!

Thieves are one of the easiest classes to understand, they literally steal. They're selfish, but not necessarily unkind or unlikable.

Breath is all about freedom, most breath players are leader like without even realizing it but this is just because they're constantly searching for something better.

In the case of a thief of breath, they would literally hoard that freedom. They would steal it, pushing others down, taking their movements and tying them to reality. Their head would constantly be in the clouds, at least after they start stealing more of their aspect.

Originally, they might come off as static, not able to move without "stepping" on other's freedoms. Like all thieves, they don't think twice about what they're doing, and this goes doubley for a thief of Breath, who's always on the move whilst tying others down

In the case of a prospit user, they'd be heavy idealists hiding a secret cynical side covering it up by stealing breaths trademark optimism, they believe time heals all wounds, and would more likely work on their own problems rather than try to fix a broken world (this is mainly from my experience as a prospit dreamer, prospit and derse are very open ended when it comes to speculation, so take this all with a grain of salt)

I just checked realm of the elderlings on PDB and the fool is typed as an e4? Bro is as 7 as they come from what I've seen, absolutely no envy or melancholic-nature, but also I haven't read too much RotE but like. Is it cuz he's quirky? Cuz he's #different? Cuz he's got gender?

Stuff about knight of time? That’s my classpect and I wanna know more abt it

Another toughie, mainly cuz (unlike most aspects) time is incredibly open ended, I wouldn't even necessarily call it multi-faceted it just straight up can be about pretty much anything, since time in this case is more of a concept than an actual personality.

The way I differentiate time is that it's about the conrete, physical reactions and stimuli. This includes things like death, the passage of time itself, etc. While time is more about observing what is real, space is about making what's not (terraforming the literal space around them)

In this case, a knight of time would probably be "out of it" so to say, having a hard time with physical realities. This doesn't mean they're dissociative, they are just insecure physically, they probably fear death for themselves or might even just not realize the full scope of death itself. They wouldn't really know their place in the world, preferring to blend into the background and not be noticed (since time is an incredibly "warm" aspect to use the words of a different classpect analyzer who's name I forgot ? I think Optimistic Duelist but I could be wrong).

Another thing is that knights fundementally lack their aspect, or at least feels like they do. A knight of time would feel they lack common sense or groundedness, this is most likely an insecurity for them but not always. In the case of Dave, though he is incredibly insecure he's not insecure in his aspect, actually he's quite confident, but doesn't notice how much it lacks in his life. He's able to weild it like a knife, but (unlike an heir) it isn't a fundemental part of his life. He uses it, and that's about it, he doesn't want to understand it more, he actively dislikes it due to insecurities hidden deeper in his psyche, if that makes any sense? Kinda got off topic but, basically what I'm saying is -> Knights are insecure but not necessarily BAD at their aspect, actually they're quite good at weilding it but only know how to USE it, not understand it

Maid of void ^w^

This is a tough one to analyse in my opinion cuz, I'mma be real, maids are barely talked about in Homestuck proper. Basically, what I know about the class is: -Seems to almost attract negative or opposite parts of their aspect, this is shown with all the assassination attempts done to Jane (trying to end her life), and how Aradia is so obssessed with dead things (the end of time)

So in this case, a maid of void probably would probably "attract" negative aspects of void, most likely a loneliness that comes from being secretive, a lack of information (could come off as dumb or out of the loop), and would have to learn how to use create the positive aspects of their aspect.

Positive aspects of void include finding "hidden" information, or creating hidden information and using that to their advantage. So a maid would probably end up creating secrecy around themselves, hiding their motives and information

GOOD CHOICE I LOVE SEERS OF VOID...

Seers of Void are secretive people who have a tendency to know the unknown, this ability is almost supernatural as they know most people's secrets though this doesn't mean they're loose lipped. They're planners, but usually only share what they need to to make things successful.

They're quiet and hidden people, not necessarily introverted just have a weak presence and are not talkative.

I don't know too much about void in general so this is much shorter than the others, but in general void players are more passive than light players, and mixed with seers makes them like. Ultra passive, so most of them are more internally focused

If I were to give them a typology I'd say ISTP/INTP 5w4 LFEV

i think page makes sense for ena as a class, considering how strong her character arc is. pages tend to have the most growing to do to fully harness their aspect, which suits ena well as someone who is fundamentally untalented (and rather shallow/weak-minded at the start).

i’m not sure about page of light, just because for me that calls to mind someone who starts their arc “suffering from success” if that makes any sense. i would love to know more about your personal interpretation of that classpect though! i’ve always heavily associated ena with space class for the obvious artistic associations and her being an Se user, but i’m very open to other interpretations as well!

Honestly, I could see space as well...a page of Light (imo) is someone who idolized success to an unhealthy degree, and generally has a longing to be seen as extraordinary at something. They also are probably very "stuck in the mud" to say, they would prefer to not act on impulses. A page of Light would increase their own relevancy and knowledge on how to be successful, pretty much it's them becoming an influencer LoL (at least, that's how I see it for ena....Light is such a multifaceted class it's kinda hard to talk about LoL)

As opposed to seers, mages actively learn, meaning they don't come with all the answers, so a Mage of blood would probably be someone who actively learns about bonds.

They most likely see people less as people and more as test subjects, actively learning about what is a human trait and what isn't, learning social norms. They would actively engage with people, talking and trying to be seen as a leader to their friends, though this does not make them socially good at all, it just means they want to be socially good and are using book smarts to get to that level

Though they're actively learning, they have similar problems of seers where they see things in a concrete manner, moreso learning about general humanity than actual close-knit bonds. Their journey would be about learning to listen to people and not just. Believe they know best

Seers of heart would be people who know emotions/relationships, they'd be people who-not necessarily LIKE love-but knows about everybody's relationships seemingly without trying. Same with identities, they wouldn't think about it, their identity would be something they feel is concrete but when shaken up due to stress that safety would crumble

Seers of heart would most likely have issues of seeing emotions as more this -> that translations if that makes sense? They'd see it as something concrete but not malleable, believing they can tell what's going to happen. This works fine with seers of mind or light, since those are more concrete aspects, but something like heart can't be quantified. I think a large part of their journey would be learning that emotions aren't something calculatable

hello! i also love typology, with my favorite system being the enneagram (though i have a great appreciation for most personality theory).

i saw that you’re taking requests for 4/13, so i have two ideas if that’s alright with you.

the first being an analysis of the seer of blood classpect, and the second a classpect typing of ena shinonome (if you’re at all familiar with project sekai, and if not that is totally fine as well).

Seer of blood is actually a classpect I thot a lot about cuz of a classpectswap homestuck AU where Egbert is a Mage of blood, and Mage and seer are quite alike. I like to say the biggest difference is seers know and mages learn, in this case a seer would know the intricacies of relationships and bonds.

A seer of blood would be someone who knows relationships and bonds, though this doesn't make them socially aware at all. They can be smooth talking manipulators, using their ability to see people's reactions to their own benefits, but more than likely they'd be more withdrawn, using their seer powers to make plans that have to do with bonds but having someone more socially adept actually carry out said plans.

They might also want to be a leader, seen as a big manipulative badass but that's a maybe. Blood players in general are more likely to think of themselves as leaders or freedom fighters, and added to the class of seer could make them a smart ass LoL

If I were to assign typology to this classpect it'd be somewhere between ENFJ and INFJ with a big maybe on INTJ as well...VELF for psychosophy and I'm not sure for enneagram? 5 if an INXJ probs

As for Ena shinonome, I know enough to vibe type and I feeeel like the obvious answer is page of light....Light seems the most obvious but for class I'd need to know more about her, cuz basically what I know is very surface level LMAO (Which is funny cuz I literally have a shinonome card in my group on project sekai I just rarely read the stories out of laziness LoL)

Other possibilities would be knight of blood/light (karkat....) or Bard of Void ?

This is an interesting one, mainly cuz I have a different definition of Bard than most. Basically, bards (imo) are a lot like heirs in the way they fully embody their aspect, but unlike an heir they destroy it without knowing it. Their life is filled with their aspect, but whenever it comes to them it shatters in their grip.

This is obviously shown with gamzee, the least rage-bound looking troll (at least at the start) but we see him going back to his roots during murderstuck due to stress from manipulation. There's also minor ways that rage shows out, specifically in his relationship to hope (he seemingly fits hope better than rage at the start)

So, putting this together with heart, a fully emotionally focused aspect revolving around identity and love, we would see a more mind-like character who breaks down into emotional episodes during stress. These episodes could consist of a multitude of things, though most likely would have to do with personal identity or romantic relationships (usually both of these in a negative sense, finding no solace in their identity and having general relationship problems).

Usually, they'd be focused on the practical, especially on the future and predicting how things will happen to make strategic moves. They're thinkers, work smarter not harder people, yet chaotic and incredibly emotionally volatile on the inside
