Puerto Vallarta - The City of Festivals
After Puerto Vallarta Limousine found its way onto the international tourism map following the release of "The Night of the Iguana," the city became a meeting place for artists, musicians and anyone seeking a cosmopolitan destination amongst incredible natural beauty. As a result, numerous festivals have developed in Puerto Vallarta, celebrating everything from independent film to haute cuisine. Throughout the year, these events welcome awestruck visitors from throughout the world and add to Puerto Vallarta's standing as one of Mexico's premier destinations.
Inspired by the legacy of director John Huston and his film, "The Night of the Iguana," the Puerto Vallarta Film Festival of the Americas brings together the best independent films and documentaries from North and South America each year. Similar to the Cannes and Sundance festivals, the Puerto Vallarta Film Festival of the Americas features more than a week full of screenings supported by lectures, workshops and parties. The festival takes place each year during the first or second week of November, immediately before the beginning of peak tourism season. Families visiting Puerto Vallarta on a strict budget should consider traveling during this period as travel costs are lower, the weather is great and there is certainly plenty to experience.

How To Buy Mexico Beach Real Estate For Sale
In order for those who are not natives of Mexico to find Mexico Beach real estate for sale or to own Mexico Beach Puerto Vallarta Transfers in Mexico they should almost always use a bank trust to do so effectively. This type of trust is known as a fideicomiso ( which is pronounced fee-day-comiso) and helps to establish an irrevocable trust so that the buyer can act as both the director and the beneficiary. Without getting too technical, the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission and the California Department of Real Estate have ruled this trust to be the equivalent of a simple title, just like when you own property in the United States.
In this arrangement, when a person who is not a native of Mexico decides to buy Real Estate for sale Playa del Carmen, Cancun Real Estate, Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, a Mexican bank (otherwise known as the fiduciary) will have temporary ownership of the real estate property, but will also be subject to the direction of the foreign buyer (who is also known as the beneficiary of the trust). The foreign buyer then has the right to begin to use the property, to rent the property, sell the property, or in the case of death, to transfer the property along to his or her designated heirs. All of the proceeds from the land sale belong to the beneficiary of the trust who is also subject to paying all of the appropriate taxes.
It is very important to make sure prior to purchasing property in Mexico, but especially Mexico beachfront property for sale that you fully understand the ins and outs of this bank trust system because it will save you from making silly mistakes and will protect you in the event that you ever want to put your Mexico beach real estate up for sale on the open market.

Revolutionary Prostate Cancer Treatment Comes To Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta Limo , Mexico is home to the new and modern San Javier Hospital and the even newer Cornerstone Hospital, both of which provide just about every kind of medical service available anywhere in the world. A third hospital, AmeriMed has been in Vallarta about 10 years and it too offers numerous services. AmeriMed currently has another huge new hospital under construction that will rival the San Javier and Cornerstone Hospitals. As a note of interest, the Cornerstone Hospital is modeled after the Cornerstone Group of hospitals in Texas and AmeriMed is headquartered in Arizona.
While in the beautiful, spacious, and comfortable waiting lobby of San Javier a couple weeks ago, we met a group of doctors, nurses, and assistants from the US. They travel to PV on a monthly basis, spending three days at San Javier practicing a revolutionary prostate cancer treatment on a prescheduled group of men; many of which have unsuccessfully tried conventional options. This procedure is minimally invasive, non-surgical, non radiation, and virtually painless. These doctors and nurses split up into two teams and perform this state-of-the-art technique on two patients simultaneously, each procedure typically requiring three hours or less. This group of urologists and nurses, working in conjunction with a local urologist and local nurses, can treat as many as 20 patients in three days.
This leading edge technique incorporates high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) which is provided by means of a Sonablate 500 system. There are two of these state-of-the-art systems at San Javier, a HIFU Certified Specialty Hospital, each having a control console, a power generator, a cooling unit, and a probe that contains a standard imaging and high-intensity ultrasound treatment head.
Prior to this out-patient procedure, the patients are positioned on a standard operating table and given a spinal anesthesia. The ultrasound / imaging probe is then inserted into the rectum and a series of prostate gland images are viewed on the monitor, allowing the surgeon with a mouse, to select the precise treatment area. Next, by either manually adjusting the power or allowing the computer to determine optimum intensity and duration, the highly focused ultrasound waves create an extremely small and well defined zone of heat; similar to using a magnifying glass and allowing the sun's rays to produce a localized spot hot enough to burn a hole in a piece of paper. The pulsing ultrasound is applied with pin point accuracy in doses of less than a second each, generating temperatures in the range of 70-80°C (155-176°F). These warm temperatures are enough to thermally ablate the targeted tissues and because the targeted zone is so well defined, the adjacent tissues remain cool and uninjured.

Vacation in Puerto Vallarta - Top Ten Reasons
Warm during the winter and humid in the summer, Puerto Vallarta Limousine has the perfect location on the map; just below the desert, but not too much as to make the tropical heat unbearable. In fact it is right on the 20° North Latitude below the Tropic of Cancer, that's right same as Hawaii. Puerto Vallarta combines the lushness of the jungle with the beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountains and the wonder of the Pacific Ocean. The ocean breeze and the fresh mountain air combine with the unrivaled sunny days Mexico is known for, to create the best weather in the world. It is no wonder why Puerto Vallarta has become a favorite vacation spot. Vallarta boasts three hundred sunny days a year, some of those being hot summer days that then get a refreshing rain. If you are ever in Puerto Vallarta anytime from the beginning of November through to the end of May you will find yourself in a paradise hard to leave behind.

As, with all real estate transactions Puerto Vallarta Transfers whether in the United States, Canada or anywhere for that matter, proper steps and procedures are required in order for your investment to be a sound one. Without writing an entire book, I will try to give a reasonable understanding of the process and give you some tips on protecting your investment and interests. I strongly recommend seeking professional guidance. More often than not, it costs you nothing but it can save you headaches, time, money...or even your entire investment!   Mexico, especially Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco is one of the most beautiful and charming places in the world. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is like Hawaii in climate, beauty and friendliness but it's closer to home (for most anyway) and a lot cheaper than vacationing or living in Hawaii! It's no wonder that upon people's first time visiting Puerto Vallarta, they fall in love with this tropical paradise! We sure did! We are not surprised that many other Mexico lovers uproot their families (as we did) and move to this amazing country.  What does amaze us, however, is when they decide to invest in real estate and work with the first person they meet that says they sell real estate.

The Olive Ridley Turtle - Puerto Vallarta's Favorite Ocean Visitor
Each summer, thousands of sea turtles make their way to the beaches of Puerto Vallarta to lay their eggs in the sand. With the assistance of the Puerto Vallarta Sea Turtle Protection Program, 96% of the eggs are able to hatch, with the baby turtles safely sent into their ocean habitat during the second half of the year. As the annual sea turtle nesting has become an important part of Puerto Vallarta's culture, this incredible natural event also offers travelers a number of unique entertainment and ecotourism opportunities. While there is certainly much to see and experience in Puerto Vallarta during the summer and fall months, tourists visiting the city during this part of the year can also take part in the excitement created by the Olive Ridley Turtles visiting alongside them.
Prior to the involvement of local environmental groups and the Mexican government, only 40% of the sea turtle eggs were able to hatch each year. Though the Olive Ridley Turtle is one of the most common sea turtle species and found throughout the world's oceans, the turtle is found on the U.S. Endangered Species List and has come to be protected in coastal regions worldwide. The sea turtle protection efforts, in both Puerto Vallarta and abroad, are further motivated by the fact that the Olive Ridley  Turtle faces few threats in the ocean, meaning the human impact on their nesting grounds is the greatest cause for concern. As Puerto Vallarta rests along the shores of the ecologically-diverse Banderas Bay, in addition to being framed by vibrant mountain jungles, the city has long stood as one of the most environmentally conscious communities in Mexico. Additionally, with environmental awareness on the rise worldwide, the ongoing efforts of the Puerto Vallarta community have provided inspiration to coastal communities and resort destinations throughout Mexico and beyond.
As the sea turtle nesting takes place just outside the doors of Puerto Vallarta's finest resorts, the local hotel industry has also gotten involved in the protection effort. In addition to working with local environmental experts and scientists, many of the resorts host special events during the hatching season of July to December (the largest number of hatchings takes place in November). In the resorts, visitors will be able to find environmental seminars, lectures by renowned marine biologists and festive events celebrating another successful season for the sea turtles.
The most exciting events, however, take place on the adjacent beaches, as visiting families are provided opportunities to interact with the newly hatched turtles and even release them into their ocean habitat. The sea turtle release events on Puerto Vallarta's beaches are open to all visiting families and always free of charge. During the nighttime releases, both children and adults will be able to hold newly hatched turtles and, working with the assistance of on-site officials, carefully release them in the sand. Local custom calls for attending children to name the young turtles and wish them luck on their journey, while adults can snap photographs prior to the release. Information about the nightly releases can be obtained directly from the resorts each day throughout the hatching season.
Prior to the hatching, resort employees and researchers painstakingly collect the deposited eggs each night and transport them to safe incubation facilities. As the eggs begin to hatch 40-70 days after being laid, officials bring the baby turtles to the beaches immediately, as the turtles must be released within 24 hours. If visiting Puerto Vallarta during the summer or fall months, it is also possible to tour these incubation facilities and witness the remarkable research and care that goes into a successful season for the Olive Ridley Turtle.
Upon witnessing the remarkable preservation program developed to assist the Olive Ridley Turtle, it is easy to see why Puerto Vallarta is recognized as one of the world's most ecologically conscious travel destinations. Most importantly for tourists, after spending some time amongst the mother turtles and their hatchlings, visitors to the area quickly realize that the Olive Ridley Turtles don't hamper the fun on Puerto Vallarta's beaches, but rather add an exciting new element to the city's already unique experience.

Don't Be Afraid to Travel to Mexico
Mexico has been in the news a lot lately, unfortunately not very much of it good. We've all heard about the drug war being waged on the Mexican border and the countless number of murders, deaths and collateral damage suffered as a result. We've also heard stories about the H1N1 virus, how it reportedly originated in Mexico, and the many mistruths about it being widespread and virulent throughout the country.
I have a family trip planned to Puerto Vallarta Airport Transfers in thirty-two days. While I'm naturally concerned for the safety and well-being of my family members and myself, I'm not worried about my upcoming vacation - a much needed getaway - in the very least. Hopefully the information presented below will help dispel many of the untruths, rumors and public opinion about traveling to Mexico and ease the fears of others planning their vacation to this very beautiful and safe country.
Violence in Mexico The U.S. State Department has issued a travel alert for citizens traveling to certain parts of Mexico. It's true that violence stemming from a drug war between Mexican cartels holding tight to territories that have been under their control for decades and the Mexican army, police and U.S. police and military involved in the conflict has escalated and should cause concern. These areas, including Tijuana, Chihuahua City, Monterrey and Ciudad Juarez, have been deemed unsafe and should be avoided by travelers. Just recently, a kidnapping involving a U.S. Citizen occurred in Tijuana. Thankfully, the woman held captive for ransom has been rescued and has since returned home unharmed.
It should be noted that most of the violence in these areas has been primarily directed toward cartel and gang members, police and public officials. As was shown in the recent case involving the kidnapped vacationer in Tijuana, this statistic should do little to alleviate anyone's fear about traveling to these areas. Nor should it. However, I've noticed that many of those arguing against travel to Mexico altogether because of the drug war have said little, if anything, about the spillover into the U.S. I don't hear these people telling me to avoid San Diego, for instance. Canada and other countries issue advisories about traveling to the United States all the time. The same people in the U.S. advising family and friends to avoid travel to Mexico might be appalled to learn that areas in the U.S. they themselves travel to or call home may be on another country's list of places to avoid. Violence and crime exists everywhere, even in our own backyards.
Crime in Mexico Largely unaffected by the violence in the north, the tourist destinations of Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Puerto Vallarta, just to name a few, continue to see very little crime. Statistically-speaking, the principal tourist spots in Mexico have always been considered safe travel destinations. Most of the criminality in these areas consist primarily of petty crimes, such as theft, and other crimes that, with preparation and a dose of common sense, can be easily avoided.
The easiest rule to remember when traveling to Mexico, or any foreign country for that matter, is to stay alert and remain aware of your surroundings. Crimes against women should be a special concern, as many of the violent crimes that occur in Mexico involve rape. Whether you are a man or a woman, you should not stray out alone in Mexico, especially at night. A moonlit walk on the beach, though it sounds romantic, should be avoided. Stay on resort property or visit well-lit public places with others in your party, if possible. Place valuables in your hotel safe. Avoid using out-of-the-way ATM's, especially at night. Put simply, exercise common sense, understand the local laws, and research your destination and activities as much as possible and you'll return home safely with fond memories of your vacation.
