For anyone who would like the .png files, I did a few texture edits on the game Harvest Moon Animal Parade. In the comparison photos, the left side is my edited version, and the right side is the original version. (Player hair color is part of the outfit)

Keep in mind that it’s unfinished because I haven’t gotten far enough in the game to meet everyone. Most of the character edits are of the “male” player, and early-game bachelors (Chase, Toby, Julius, Luke, Wizard) to “beautify” their face as a bit more conventional anime-style (mostly toning down the eye socket crease, making eyes less wide open, moving mouth higher, brows lower, etc), and few outfit modifications.

I used the HM Pride Parade edition of the game, which swaps the male/female player model… so I am not sure if the player model’s texture will work properly on the original HM Animal Parade. Adds more things to the game. Optional taxes, also adds more crops and clothing changes, and soda crafting. Can conflict with Seasonal Outfits, but can be worked in together.

Ever feel weird about the fact you never get to know people through, like, social osmosis? Like if you’re super good friends with Sam, he’s probably talked to his family and friends about you. If you’re selling all these things to people, and helping people out, shouldn’t most people at least know ur a chill person? This mod gives a couple points toward your relationship to the citizens for every festival, for every thing sent in the box, and if you talk to people in a room with others, they all get a point or five. It’s very useful for keeping relationships going.

Since so many people liked the mods on the Stardew Valley tutorial I’m putting them in a simpler list for those who already know how to mod SV and just want the mods in the list.

Dude hmu w/ some stardew mods pls!!

In terms of base game play, I’d definitely recommend the following:

Longevity- Essentially makes the game more worth playing past the first two years. Adds taxes (which can be disabled), Dynamic NPC clothing, more crops, and expands the dialogue (currently I think only with Abigail?)

Part of the Community- Makes it easier to gain passive friendship so everyone in town doesn’t think you’re the biggest jackhole in Winter bc you’re too busy waiting outside your LI’s house to talk to them

Cooking Skill- Just makes cooking feel actually worth it imo

Birthday mod- I’ve not used yet but it gives you the option to set a birthday bc literally everyone has a birthday in the game… except for you.

Love Letters: I made this mod; essentially it adds letters from LIs; they’ll send the player presents, followups from events, and just check in. They also will give a subtle hint on how to trigger their heart events so it seems more natural than having to wiki that shit.

You will need SMAPI to download these, but the files will tell you how (I think Longevity also requires content patcher and Seasonal Immersion; it’s a hassle but it definitely improves the game).

There’s a bunch of dialogue improvement mods as well, because the villagers tend to talk about the same shit for the entire fuckin’ season.

For Aesthetic and Customization:

More Hair- I actually made this mod (maybe I’ll update it one day). All it does is give more hair customization options

Get Dressed- Lets you customize your outfit/appearance post-intro. It’s nice if you want that Immersion™.

Seasonal Victorian Buildings- Makes your farm look fancy and also your houses/buildings will be affected by the season (so like in winter there’ll be snow n shit on your roof etc. etc.).

Recolor of grass/dirt- There’s a lot of these; I use this one because it feels less eye blinding than the normal yellow and lime terrain.

Portrait mods- There’s a shit ton out there; just google them lol. I will tell you this though; not many are completed just because of the sheer immensity of portraits in game. Many modders lose interest or just don’t want to finish them. Assuming you’re the anon from before, here’s a link to where my mod is still downloadable (I removed it from the Nexus because people are assholes).

 **Edit: I finished my portrait mod, so it’s officially complete. Available here.

Finally, in terms of just UI and Quality-of-Life

UI Info Suite- Gives you info without making you feel like you’re cheating

Experience Bars- Lets you see how much exp. until you reach the next level of a skill.

A whole lot of people requested Sebastian, so here you go!

IFD aims to make festivals more realistic and interesting by diversifying NPC dialogue. With this mod, characters will acknowledge you based on how well they know you and your history together!

i thought it would be cute to have crows on my forest farm, so i made a new sdv mod that adds crows as a custom coop animal using BFAV ♡ 

( the mod adds crows as a new farm animal entry so you don’t have to replace your chickens  ^ - ^  ♡ ) f e a t u r e s | ♡ - purchase crows as coop animals - crows will produce driftwood and broken glasses - choose between two colour variants - grey eyes, or red eyes that match the in game crows

That’s a bit out of character for you, Krobus.

For additional context, I’m using the Immersive Shane mod, and this line of dialogue popped up when I went to talk to Krobus. It does make sense that he’d say ‘bugaboo’ as a term of endearment, since Krobus seems to like bugs.
