The rest of my life really starts in two days; where did the time go?

I still feel like it was only a year ago I was entering my first year at Cal, the excitement of going to parties and bars w new friends and having to recruit for clubs and internships. Maybe post-grad life is affecting me now that all my friends & colleagues have to grow out of our college phase and into actual adulthood with real responsibilities now.

Fuck i miss frat parties, tailgates, rooftop parties while a consulting club is trying to host a social, partying on a yacht, drinking on a boat, running into sneaky links on my way to class or living in the same dorm or across the street from my fav hookups. Having sex in my dorm room and having to sneak a girl in my room. Damn, COLLEGE WAS SO FUN AND NOW I GOTTA WORRY ABOUT 401K’s , ROTH IRA’s, BONUSES, QUARTER END, CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS, ETC.

Now i get it why people have to join run clubs, indoor rock climbing clubs, get Equinox memberships, etc. just to feel something

Reading my text posts from 2022, or even from a few months ago just makes me want to tell my past self :

It’s okay to just stop and breathe. You don’t need to constantly chase. Be kinder to yourself and others. Just be patient, everything you were looking for in all the wrong places will eventually find you when the moment is right.
