Can someone actually explain me why is everyone so upset about the new overwatch hero?!!?!? “We want more diversity!” Doesn’t overwatch has a lot of diversity tho?

Mercy is german, D.va is korean, Mei is chinese, Widowmaker is french, genji and hanzo and japanese, etc etc!

We have black characters, we have white characters, we have a purple character, we have a fucking monkey, two robots AND A DUDE THAT DRINKS LAVA and many more characters with their own story and their own personalities that sometimes represent the real world and sometimes it doesn’t.

Overwatch is one of the most if not the most diverse games out there, with a great lore and everyone or almost everyone has a great or amazing background story. We have characters from all around the world. It’s growing more and more everyday with more heroes coming out and patches.

I don’t get it why all of this hate for a new hero, yes representation matters and it’s so great seeing all of this diverse characters but come on man not everything has to be about race, the point of this video game is that you should have fun playing the game, enjoy the new content that blizzard is putting out and working so hard, not boycott them and say “i’m quitting this game” “literally useless hamster” and many other comments that i read this past 30 min just because IT’S A HAMSTER.

Development: The Secret of Butter Building

Butter Building from Kirby’s Adventure is a very unique stage in which you continually walk forward and the building rotates as if you’re running around it! At the time, this was a very new and unique concept that still looks good to this day.

While the idea seems fancy, there actually isn’t a whole lot of magic going on behind the scenes. As Kirby walks forwards (or backwards) the background is set scroll to the left (or right), and the tiles of Butter Building will continually be swapped out through a process known as “Bank Switching”. Despite what the name suggests, bank switching doesn’t imply that a complete bank of graphics has to be swapped out, instead, you can select chunks of graphics, such as the lower half of this tileset.

Butter Building used this technique masterfully, and it shows by just how incredibly this level has aged.
