I fucking love Trent.

I would like to think he’s written as respectful a piece as possible (as respectful as an invasive piece about someone’s health can be) but to give up a source?

He risked his entire career to give Ted the heads up.  Journalists have been sent to jail rather than give up a source.  It is integral to the business to protect your source. 

That’s a Trent that not only respects Ted, but is likely somewhat disgusted by Nate’s actions.  Trent’s been there from Nate’s start on the field, saw his first play being practiced, seen all Ted has given Nate, and for him to specifically seek out Trent to take Ted down?

That’s a Trent that says fuck integrity, that’s a fucking guideline, I’m gonna text a man I respect, a man I have spent nearly two years rooting for, when I know he’ll likely be home and therefore safe and in a familiar environment that he can control, and let him know what’s coming at him.

“Something that certainly developed more [in season 2] is Phoebe, my niece [played by Elodie Blomfield]. She was so great. Day one of working with her it was so clear that she was brilliant. You know child actors, they’re either amazing or they’re awful, there’s no in between. You don’t know what you’re gonna get and [Elodie] was so amazing and we had a good thing together. Goldstein: And he’s wildly attracted to Keeley, but then at the gala in Episode 4, when he sort of says, “You made me feel like an idiot,” and she apologizes, it’s probably the first time that’s ever happened.

Temple: For both of them.

Goldstein: “This is a thing, that you’ve listened and responded and been honest and owned up to something?” That’s the beginning of the end for him; he’s a goner then.

Temple: You need someone to hold you accountable. And also Keeley didn’t think about that she had hurt Roy, because Roy’s a closed book.

Goldstein: Because he doesn’t show anyone he can be hurt.

Temple: Keeley knows in that moment, “I want that in my life. I want to be accountable.” That was a really important scene for me as an actress, as well as for Keeley. I think about it a lot in real life, how important accountability is. People screw up, it happens, but it’s what you do with that afterwards that makes you who you are.

Goldstein: It was very special to me as well. Occasionally you have those moments where you’re actually buzzing, you’re so into it.
