I was summoned to this platform thrice, to appear before you in person (kind of) and do stuff ... I guess?

The more you know: Laugenknötchen (or Verfitzbebäck) is an old, yeast dough based pastry and symbol of the connection between humans and the demon realms. It is usually made during harvest season in August and reminds us, that our fates are, as well as magick, connected not unlike a web to most, if not all of us (Knötchen means little knot). The name is probably a malapropism of the french l’auge (wooden tub, trough), one of numerous vehicles used for traveling (Walpurgisnacht) by witches from all over Europe.
(Believe me, this theory is not that far fetched if you ever hear a German speak French.)
As the legend has it, an apprentice dropped a tray of already formed dough into a tub with steep and, through lesser hygienic standards or fear of punishment, still proceeded to finished the baking process. No records of illness or death occurred and thus the pâtisserie de l’auge (trough pastry) was born.
According to my sources some bakeries in middle Germany still sell these today.
Edit: Laugenknötchen are not to be confused with similar tasting Bütterbretzel, even though they probably share the same origin. The Bretzel is mostly found in Bayern (Bavaria), a disturbing and deeply religious part of Germany, which detested the use of such ‘heretic’ symbols. Not wanting to give up this delicacy (it had gained quite some popularity among the common folk at that time), they changed the shape and some minor ingredients and branded it with a new name.

Prototype time!
My first project in 2025. It was nice trip down memory lane, returning to 8bit micro controller. I am still trying to get the hang of the printing setup and new filament so the printing is pretty poor on this one.
