the thing about spooky movies vs christmas/holiday movies is that like. there's way more room to watch the former after the spooky season is over than the latter. like. you can realize on november 1st you never got to that one spooky movie you felt like watching and go "aw man. maybe the next time I get a free evening." and then like. actually watch it that next evening without feeling weird even if its like. november or january or april instead of september/october. if December 26 comes around and you haven't watched that one holiday special its like. well I can't fucking touch that now or I'm gonna die
