i'll probably start with magician because it's easier to go through the story with a combat life, but will also probably switch off to one of the new ones fairly regularly as i do so.
I bet a lot of us will want to try a completely new life at the start of the game.
no confirmation on details about the artist but it would be SO great if we could use that to customize furniture colors (like cyrus in animal crossing). please, level5.
im trying to think of what artist could do since its a crafting life
since theres the focus on building maybe it will be stuff like customization and what not? tho i suppose it'd be a different life (builder? crafter? something like that) but shrugs idk

if you haven't watched the level5 "news" video from tokyo game show, i'll save you the pain of the messed up audio: we literally get no new information on fantasy life. it shows the trailer that was released last weekend, and they talk about the basics of the game (mostly just about the Lives we're already used to). Not even a release date, oh well.

7am for me, so i will be up all night finishing my fantasy life wishlist video (the actual scripted one, not the one i quickly made last week lol) so it can go live before things are maybe revealed
the 2014 tumblr fantasy life fandom had 4 of us, but we've learned how to clone ourselves since then.
ppl love to say the fantasy life community on here consists of themselves and like 2 friends but yall my farmer poll has over 100 votes and thats not even considering the possibility of someone getting it completely out of context SURE BUT
I noticed that but the lives are color coded (crafting lives are pink, gathering lives are green, combat are blue). it's blue, and I don't know how sailor would really be a combat life...? (I mean, I'm always getting attacked while on boats in d&d, but that's besides the point.) plus in all the graphics we've seen of the lives, the last mystery life is at the very end of everything; before farmer was revealed, it was still placed with the gathering lives. so I'm thinking this "sailor outfit" is just... an outfit? while they were playing as a paladin? because otherwise the icon doesn't make sense. (and there was a sailor outfit in the first game.)
weird to include it in that way but it would also be weird to include the new life while also... everything else (including the website) keeps it a secret. I feel like they'd do a proper reveal like they did with farmer.
ALSO something else I noticed!!
Why are both the middle column lives marked Paladin?
I dont think the lower one is Paladin
I bet it's a Sailor Life!!
What if there's multiple islands we can explore?! That have different resources and enemies and they're own mysteries!! The first thing I imagined was it being like The Wind Waker- sailing across the open ocean looking for adventure!
i do think it's over saturated and pigeon holed into a lot of games that don't need it/make sense, but i have always thought it made sense in fantasy life. most lives have a gathering > producing > using progression, i.e. woodcutter (you gather the wood), carpenter (you craft with the wood), magician (you use your crafted materials as weapons) but cooking and alchemy were missing that first step (aside from fish of course). i've been rooting for a farming life long before we knew a sequel was coming :D
