These were George Floyd's last words as he was strangled by cops.

A school shooter was escorted peacefully and given a water bottle after he shot and killed over 10 children in their classrooms while George was murdered because he was under suspicion for using a counterfeit 20 dollar bill . This is why I say ACAB. This is why I say cops are pigs. This system is fucked. I may not be black but I stand with you. I mourn with you.

I am going to say something that has been on my mind for a while now.

Embroidery is punk. Sewing is punk.

Because being punk is totally anti consumerist, and fast fashion is what comprises most of store shelves, and embodies the very thing punk is against. Not only that but a huge part of punk culture is the diy aspect of it and making things yourself. And by making your own clothes/ detailing it yourself, you are acting in a way that does not aid the fast fashion industry and also aligns with punk ideals. So yeah I will be posting photos of my embroidery, and yes I will still consider it punk when I sew a new shirt because I am actively acting against fast fashion and consumerism and you can disagree with me all you like but I like to think of it that way.
