imagine, as this little boy grew into a teen, then adult, he gradually abandoned his chilghood toy friend. once they were inseparable - but one day he hid it for the first time, embarrassed that his new friends would laugh at him for still playing with dolls - he was in a hurry and threw it in a closet.

ever since, he started outgrowing it. his new friends introduced him to a cool things to play. console games. pokemon. not some old dolls. he started forgetting more and more often to shake its hand before going to school, or to wish it goodnight, like he did every day. he didn't tell it his secret anymore. it was still sitting on the boy's shelf, but when the boy was in a high school and they moved, his toy friend ended up in the attic in a box with his other childhood toys that he was too old to play now. so the boy grew up. and forgot about the one that he once considered his most beloved friend.

but it did not forget.

I low key love that you're like "I like this dress but I want this and this colour" cos let me tell you...I'm the exact same 😭 I recolour shit for myself all the time, from hair to accessories, to make things feel more consistent or whatever other reason.

I'm especially bad with hair, cos I like 'Funky' hair colours and sometimes that isn't easily doable without recolouring things.

It's so funnnn! 😩 It opens up so many possibilities for CC that doesn't have enough swatches, or doesn't have colors I like, or just doesn't match what I want to pair it with.

And you're 100% right about hair; the default Maxis palette is crazy limited, and even with all the hair color overlays I have, I still can't get the exact colors I want. Sometimes you just gotta open that shit up in S4S and recolor it yourself.
