I soooo missed the chance to buy this gem and was wondering if there was any chance of still buying a physical copy somehow? A few posts ago Lulu was mentioned; is there a specific link? Staying hopeful, Thanks :-)

Sure thing! It will be posted after the Valentine’s Day sale completes (which was extended through Sunday by request). It will be print-on-demand, so frankly they are not quite as pretty as the offset printed copies, but they are still very good. We did early proofing of the book through Lulu. (I’m a bit of a nut and had four sets of pre-proofs made before the final proof... but the typos were caught!) Thanks!

It’s been over a year since the Purity Anthology came out, so I can post the comic I did for it now! Just in time for Halloween~ ⚰️🎃

I’d like to do more with these characters one day!! Maybe a future webcomic far, far in the future.

Hi everyone! This was my entry in the Purity anthology. Working on this anthology was great fun, thank you everyone who participated and for everyone who purchased the volume!

Notes about terminology:

The term “blue dogs” refers to U.S. Democrats with Republican leanings. To be “blue” is to be Democratic (or generally left-wing), but the word can also mean “sorrowful”–as in, singing the blues. The setting was inspired by Bohemian Grove, a yearly party for powerful Republicans and their friends. Yes, all women are banned from the premises. Yes, it really does have a giant owl statue. (You should look it up, it’ll blow your mind.) Lawrence Kaiser is a wendigo, a person transformed by an act of cannibalism. In real-world Native American folklore, it is associated with a constant hunger for human flesh. In this story, his appetite is controlled by modern pharmaceuticals. Though an academic by profession, he’s steeped in old money, much like real-world biologist Dame Miriam Rothschild. He also makes reference to the Cuban trade embargo, which prevented the importation of Cuban cigars. It was in full force in 1995, when this originally takes place.

Amazing to think that I wrote this before Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the 2016 Presidential election. For someone as obsessed with politics as I am, it sure has been… a thing. If we’re being honest, if I’d known how nuts things would get, I’d have definitely made my comic about something else!
