Honestly, the lingering feeling of guilt wouldn't go away, even if it seemed as though it was alright for now. “ Yeah, I just... ” Cutting himself off for a brief moment, Yuugi merely shrugged his shoulders as he tried to gather his thoughts.

“ ... ” Finally, he looked up at the stranger - properly - and he offered him a somewhat weak and apologetic smile. “ I suppose, ” He chuckled briefly. “ It has just been a long day, y'know? ” Shaking his head, he continued. “ Hah - it's really kind of you to offer it. But really, it's no trouble! ” Straightening his back, Yuugi cleared his throat, gathering himself in proper - it really seemed as though he was completely back to normal again. “ I'm just on my way home. Been running errands for my grandpa all day, actually. ”

Judai pulled the water bottle back and put it back into his bag, watching the other warily. He recognized Yugi, however it seemed as though the other didn't recognize him. ... Just how far back did he go this time..? "Alright good." he breathed out, leaning back.

".. Yeah it seems like one of those days doesn't it?" he mused, "But I do want to walk you to wherever you're going. If that's alright. I wanna make sure you're okay." Call him overprotective, but... Hell that was quite jarring.

....also, unfortunately, i kind of missed out on yuugi's birthday at the beginning of the month. sadly, irl takes priority so i haven't been able to come online one here ( or any of my blogs - not really, at least ). so if anyone wants to send him a belated birthday ask or anything, feel free to do so ;w;

Glancing over at the water bottle offered to him, Yuugi realized that his reaction might have been a bit too overly dramatic... Honestly, sometimes certain actions just makes so much sense in your head, but if you actually do them... yeah, people might get confused or, in this case... concerned? “ Ahh, ” He glanced at the water bottle being offered to him. Raising a hand in polite refusal, he shook his head. “ It's alright. I'm actually okay. ”

Dammit... Now he feels lowkey quilty. “ It's been a long day, that's all, really... ” Clearing his throat, he straightened his back a bit, attempting to hold himself up a tad as he rubbed the back of his neck. “ Sorry - I didn't mean to cause any worry.~ ”

"Shit- are you doing alright?" Judai blinked, moving over and crouching beside him. He held a bottle of water out to him. "You still with me?"

guys, i think yuugi's had enough

it's so fucking annoying how dark mode ( actually, all modes that doesn't have white posts but even then, some of the white posts ones still have a weird backgorund... ) adds this weird-ass background shade to transparent images. at first i was just annoyed because it made certain graphics look like shit, but now it's actually very distracting because if a single post has a handful of otherwise transparent backgrounds on images ( like icons with non-square borders, dividers, and post-banners ), that post suddenly looks INCREDIBLY cluttered. it's too many different colors and shades to register in my brain simply because that space fulfills no purpose whatsoever, it becomes distracting, and very hard to focus on the images themselves. there's just too much going on in one place for the eyes to take in.

Yuugi blinked. He certainly didn't except that... compliment(?) back. Especially not considering he himself had merely attempted to reassure the other that he wasn't as judgmental and Yuugi himself might have feared he appeared as. Regardless though, it was a welcome and surprising gesture. He smiled a bit, but before he could say anything about it, Kaiba had already continued.

“ Uhh... ” His eyebrows knitted together again as he thought to himself. “ It's a bit hard to explain. I suppose... sometimes, I can just tell? ” Even though the King of Games had a track record of being a bit too trusting of people sometimes, he had always had a keen eye for spotting liars and disingenuous people ( it was just that most of the time, he had gotten himself in trouble anyways due to him trusting that the person in question was capable of good... ). “ But if I were to get advice I don't think is good and wouldn't take, even from a friend, I'd just simply say it's not good advice and that I will do it my way. ”

Well...damn. He shifted slightly at the compliment that Yuugi had given him, not fully expecting that out of him. "It's...honourable of you as well," Kaiba mumbled.

Clearing his throat, enough of that emotion for the day.

"I suppose that could be understandable but how do you distinguish genuine care and...not so genuine care in your eyes? Like if the dweeb patrol ever gave you unsolicited advice that you know you wouldn't take. What do you tell them?"
