watching the CEO tinker with the cube in front of him was always an interesting sight to the pharaoh. seeing him so focused ( and oddly quiet ) whenever he works has probably become one of atem’s favorite sights. seto was truly a genius and seeing him in his element feels like he is being let inside such a vulnerable part of his world.   

though, the pharaoh can only stay so entertained. his warm smile with the affectionate stare turned into a pout with eyes expressing how he was now bored. both hands propping up his chin.

“ kaiba, are you almost done? ” he finally spoke to the one he has been staring at. reaching out to grab one of his tools to see if it helps to get him to stop whatever it is he is doing. and he will continue to do this until seto finally gives him attention.

one of his favorite things to do within in city is just walk around. take in the sights. watching the people enjoy their day without a single care in the world. there is something about the modern world that his time would never be able to recreate. maybe its the freedom from not having to be in charge of a kingdom. 

well, as relaxing as his days can be, it is sadly not always like that. not that he minds much. usually its yugi and all their dear friends. sometimes its kaiba, challenging him to duels whenever he feels like. 

and some days, it’s pegasus, yelling at him from across the street because they noticed each other... 

time to turn around and book it the other way.

finishing off the fruit from what used to be a cake, atem sits in a quiet cafe. he quite enjoys the little hole in the wall. it gives him some peace and quiet from the busy modern day life that he is now living in.

though, he gets the feeling his peace and quiet will be interrupted the moment he spots a certain giant walk up to the counter. maybe if he just... awkwardly slides down, kaiba won’t notice the spiky hair ??

his attention was on a stray cat. giving them treats that he liked to keep on himself for such an occasion. gently giving them pats as the kitty meowed happily, bumping their head against his legs and hand as a way to demand for more of the tasty snacks causing the pharaoh to softly laugh.

though suddenly, the animal dashed away. confused now, he stood up from where he was kneeling and looked around. it didn’t take him long to find his furry friend. they ran straight up to another stranger. probably demanding for more treats... 

ahh— maybe he has spoiled the local stray cats a little too much.
