Hector brought his own free hand up to clasp theirs together, letting his thumb gingerly rub along the back of one of Jeremy’s own. “I am going to stop you right there, Jeremy. The problems we had was not all on you, as you seem to think. Or...as I seem to have led you to believe. Which I am deeply ashamed of right now.” He knew that their relationship wasn’t as one-sided as Jeremy deemed.

Toward the end, Hector became closed off and emotionally unavailable the more he caught wind of Jeremy’s fear of the proper commitment that Hector so desperately craved. He was an incredibly passionate and affectionate man, known to spoil his significant others whenever possible. But once he felt that Jeremy might not have felt the same love for him, that slowly began to go away until they were both left with nothing and Hector broke it all off.

“I...I know that we were together for a long time but...I must have been pushing you too far. I wanted more than you from all of this and I truly apologize for putting pressure on you to move forward with what we had.” Hector sighed softly, looking deeply into his ex-lover’s eyes and emitting a rather longing demeanor as he did. “I was rash. Impulsive. I should not have ended things like that. I have missed you every day since then. If I could go back and change one thing in my life, it would be that. It still hurts not to wake up next to you. Not to hear your laugh after one of us makes a dumb joke. To feel your arms around me. I wonder how perfect my life would be had I not ruined what we had going for us...”
