I said I would! I finally did it! I know I took a million years but I did it!

Probably the biggest thing to note is that I am becoming more private and selective. I may not follow you back simply because I know my own limits with writing and I want to be able to focus on what I want to write and not stretch myself thin.

ahahaha everything is so gross. im still working on my blog too so....you know ! im just on a bit of a hiatus. good thing, i guess, if tumblr is gonna look like this

I swear though, I am actually legit almost finished moving my blog. Under the cut is what’s been going on if you wanna read it

I’ve been getting my head in order, I suppose. it’s a wild time for all. 

Some productive things I’ve done:

-Started writing on my original novel again. I’m currently doing a 30-day writing challenge and it’s really helping me generate so many new ideas for it.

-I got ring fit adventure! I’m only doing like two levels a day cause uh I haven’t exercised since the dawn of time. so definitely taking that slow and building up a routine instead of diving head first. Also trying to be a smidge more conscious of what I eat/drink.

-actually worked on my new blog lol at this point, all the old bios are transferred, there are just two giant ones I’m reworking (lara and lucifer) and there are only a couple muses I want to add. I’ve dropped off a few but no one anyone will miss I suspect

and that’s kind of it. I’m still around, I still want to write, and I love all of you for being so patient. thank you~

Like most soldiers, Frank has the uncanny ability to sleep wherever. A soft bed is almost unsettling to him. The floor, in a weird, familiar way, made sleep come easier. However, it doesn’t stop Big Boss’s voice from waking him in seconds, his brown eyes snapping open and meeting his.

He takes the offered hand and pulls himself up with a grunt. “Better than rocks.” Almost downright comfortable in comparison. “Do you need me for something, Boss?”

If there’s one thing Frank is confident about, it’s his combat skills. His speech? Not so much. When Naomi went to boarding school, he considered himself a lost cause for anything concerning academics. Fighting is all he’s good for.

Yet just now, he recited the whole passage with nary a pause. For once, his expression betrays him, his eyes wide in dumbfounded disbelief. 

“Huh...”

Slowly, his expression returns to neutral. There’s something stirring in his chest...gratitude beyond measure, that anyone, much less Big Boss himself, ever thought to give him the time of day for something so seemingly inconsequential. Yet he had. And now Frank could read and speak pretty well.

His eyes meet Big Boss’s. “...Guess so.”

Sound and smell dulled, Frank doesn’t realize he’s being rescued until the figure is in the room with him. The bindings on his wrists and ankles disappear and he turns as the man speaks. It’s a muffled sound — his ears are gone, after all — but he doesn’t need to hear to see the gun offered. To see the man who offers it.

Him.

Frank didn’t think he would see him again. Not in a million years. But here he is, the same man who rescued him as a kid, the first to teach him to fight, and now rescuing him once more. A pretty pathetic situation to be found in. He’d held out this long against the FRELIMO soldiers, enduring both his ears and his nose being cut off, but getting caught in itself is a disgrace. They stimmed the blood so he wouldn’t bleed out, better to have him alive and semi-coherent for their purposes, and it’s the only reason he hasn’t died. Through it all, his sister is his guiding light, the one reason he pulls through. No one would be there for her if he isn’t.

Mustering his strength, Frank reaches out and grabs Big Boss’s arm. “Can’t leave...Naomi...” He’s light-headed and words are hard to grasp, but he cannot leave without her. He told her to hide, but what if she was found? What if they knew she wasn’t a boy? Her pain would be a million times worse than his own.

Unfortunately for her they were out of stock on her particular eye color for the price he was going for and they had no idea when it’d be back in stock. Apparently that color didn’t sell what. Stupid if you ask Isaac. He clasps her on the shoulder, ❝ it’ll be a great conversation starter. ❞

Ellie stands in front of the mirror with a critical eye on her new prosthetic. It’s not the same shade but...she kinda likes it. Which meant Isaac was right. She answers him with a begrudging smile. “Better than making up a story about how I lost it so I don’t have to say it was shishkabobed out with a screwdriver.” It tended to kill conversations.

“And I suppose that’s your debt repaid.” Part of her wanted to rib him a little for not finding the same shade but...he’d tried, she knew it, and if she liked it it didn’t really matter. 

She turns toward Isaac, green-blue eyes staring at him now. “What do you think?”

It depends. If he’s trying to learn something, it’s easier for him to focus on one task at a time and then build off of that. Once everything is learned, he can multi-task using those skills. In the same vein but different note, it’s very hard to distract him from what he’s focused on. He’ll realize and make note that something else is happening, but unless it’s important he doesn’t turn his attention to it.

And lol absolutely negatively. At best, neutral, but for the most part negative. Though, it depends on different things. Like he views his own battle skills positively and is confident about teaching others, but he views himself negatively, seeing himself as not very smart or even very caring.
