     ( For once, Aido wasn’t doing it on ) purpose. Normally he would purposely go out of his way to relax and even arouse those he took bites from. He never touched them after, but it was a good way to keep them from panicking. However, his senses were a lot more astute than the average human’s so he knew exactly how Atem was feeling. It swelled his ego a bit and even had him smiling inside, but Atem was reaching his limit. Despite what he said, Aido was adept at listening for changes in one’s heartbeat. Atem’s was slowing by a millisecond. Too much more of this and he would be putting the nice man’s life in danger so upon hearing his words, Aido raised his head, giving an affectionate lick to the open wound. The holes wouldn’t close for a day or two, but it still wasn’t good to leave such deep wounds exposed so he looked towards Yugi, smiling apologetically.

     ❝Yugi-san, is there a first aid kit around? I should clean up his neck and then I promise I will leave your friend to rest.❞

     Aido looked down at the male in his lap, reaching up to run fingers through the pharaoh’s hair. He couldn’t help it. Whenever Aido was full, happy and away from Kaname, he could be one of the most affectionate people the world over. His touches rarely meant much other than that he was extremely happy. Living off food pills that served to only curve the hunger was a recipe for a room full of grouchy vampires. It felt GREAT being away from all of that but more than that, Kaname himself. He loved his friend, but it was difficult being around someone who would never look at him in the same light. It hurt, and Aido rather liked being away from the pain for a while.

     ❝You know, you’re very cute Atem-san. Did you know?❞

     Honestly, Yugi needed little prompting, and gave but a quick nod as he hurried out to fetch their first-aid supplies from the bathroom. He hoped that Atem hadn’t made a mistake in allowing Aido to feed from him, though the vampire seemed to be sincere with his intentions.

     Within a few moments, he’d returned to the bedroom, immediately moving to the edge of the bed so that he might help with cleaning up the small punctures that Aido had left in Atem’s neck.

     “I’ve got some disinfectant here, and a pad that we can put over his neck once we’ve done that.”

     “Cute is... hardly the word that I’d use,” Atem murmured in response to the vampire’s comment; in his dizzy state, the former Pharaoh admittedly found himself being lulled by Aido’s strangely affectionate gestures. He might have even dozed off, had it not been for a sting against the wound, caused by a cotton ball with a bit of alcohol on it being dabbed there.

     “Sorry,” Yugi murmured as he heard the soft hiss of discomfort from Atem, trying to make quick work of his task. He’d leaned over the two over males, wanting to get a look at the small wound himself - just to be sure that it truly wasn’t anything too serious. Satisfied that his friend would be okay, he drew back and produced a small medical pad, holding it out for Aido to take.

     “Just put that on his neck now that I’ve disinfected it. Should we just... let him sleep it off now... ?” Not that Atem seemed to be waiting for Aido to reply to Yugi’s question; the King of Games could see that the former Pharaoh was already dozing off in Aido’s hold...

💚 Are they prone to jealousy?

     Honestly? A little bit, yes. Yugi tends to be pretty self-conscious about how he measures up to other people, especially when his significant other is involved. Though his confidence has improved in many aspects post-series, that’s not always the case when it comes to matters involving how attractive he is, especially in physical aspects; Yugi’s not the fittest person ever, nor the tallest, or even what he would consider to be handsome.

     So if his partner seems to take an interest in someone else who he sees as more attractive than he is? Yeah, he might get a little jealous, though he tends to feel down more than he gets angry about it. He kind of needs a lot of reassurance in that department, so that he remembers the reasons that his partner loves him.

🚀 How far are they willing to go for the person they love?

     To put it simply, as far as he’s able to. Yugi is incredibly supportive of his friends, so it should be no surprise that he’s very much the same when it comes to partners. Need someone to talk to? He’ll absolutely listen. Difficulties with their family? Yugi will do his best to give advice, and be at their side throughout the issue. Bad mental health? He’s there for you. If it’s something that he can’t solve, then he’ll do his best to at least be there to help.

     Atem’s type tends to fall into the intellectual and/or nerdy categories. Whether his partner is male or female, he appreciates someone with intelligent and wit, and he seems to find people who have dorkier tendencies to be rather charming. 

🐶 Are they a cuddler?

     With partners? Absolutely. He quite enjoys spending time with his significant other, and he especially likes to take advantage of their physical presence. He’s not picky about location either - they can cuddle on the couch, in bed, whatever. He also tends to enjoy snuggling with his partners if he’s in a bad mood; it helps him to feel better.

           folding  his  hands  atop  his  thighs,  he  watched  but  a  few  more  buildings  whiz  by,  before  turning  to  face  his  curious  date.  “  i  had  considered  my  own  restaurant,  in  the  beginning  stages  of  planning.  “  but  that,  he  knew,  was  a  too  conceited  move,  especially  for  a  date.  a  business  meeting,  perhaps,  was  a  better  suited  arrangement  to  host  at  one  of  his  own  establishments,  but  he  was  trying  to  keep  his  PROFESSIONAL  life  separate  from  his  PERSONAL  life.  “  instead,  we’re  going  somewhere  even  i’ve  never  been.  “   he’d  researched  it  beforehand,  of  course.  checked  reviews,  browsed  the  menu.  it  seemed  like  a  safe  enough  choice,  with  options  befitting  of  his  very  particular  palette,  and  ones  a  bit  more  CASUAL,  too,  for  those  who  didn’t  have  the  luxury  of  fine  dining  for  breakfast,  lunch,  AND  dinner  on  a  daily  basis.

                               as  for  afterwards?  well…

             “  and  then,  i  made  reservations  at  the  newest  virtual  reality  arcade  that  opened  up  downtown.  “  —  and,  by  reservations,  he  meant  ‘  he’d  rented  out  the  entire  building,  ‘  so  that  the  two  of  them  could  enjoy  it,  sans  the  interruptions.

     It took a few moments for Seto to reply, and admittedly, Yugi worried that his questions had gotten on the brunet’s nerves in that time. He knew that the other young man had little patience when it came to repeating himself, or being pestered for information, but the duelist was quite certain that he hadn’t been told much about whatever Seto had planned. Even so, the duelist found himself doubting his memory a little, and until his date replied, his mind jumped through any instances when he could have possibly missed receiving the information.

     That didn’t turn out to be the case, however, as Seto at last replied with no hint of irritation in his tone. Yugi’s own anxiousness seemed to settle as a result, and instead, the smaller boy began to listen intently, his curiosity regarding Seto’s plans apparent. Truthfully, he’d never been to the restaurant that the young CEO owned, but perhaps that wasn’t exactly surprising - after all, the King of Games didn’t often go out anywhere expensive, and was usually found at Burger World when he did eat somewhere else.

     Honestly though, Yugi was surprised to hear that Seto had picked somewhere that he hadn’t visited previously, and it made him wonder just where it was that they were going to eat. That, however, was quickly forgotten as the second half of their date was revealed, and almost immediately, the young man’s eyes widened to the size of saucers.

     “Wait, really? That place’s been packed since the day it opened-” The duelist stopped his excited ramble mid sentence, however, upon realizing that what his statement would have been a rather stupid one to make. Getting in might have been impossible for anyone else, but if Seto Kaiba wanted reservations anywhere, he doubted that anyone in Domino would dare to turn him down.

     Clearing his throat, the shorter gamer gave his date a sheepish smile, which was accompanied by a slight flush that spread across his cheek, “T-That all sounds great, Seto, I’m-- I’m really excited to spend a day with you like this.”

     Hopefully, they wouldn’t be bothered too much, though Yugi could only imagine that the media outlets in Domino would be all over them if they got wind of the two rivals seemingly spending a day together...

     They were having this kind of conversation tonight? Oh boy - he was pretty sure that Seker was only asking so that he could see how red Yugi’s face got.

Cobalt: Rough or soft?

     “Um… y-y’know, I’m…” He paused, clearing his throat and looking rather sheepish, “I’m n-not… r-really sure? We’ve done both, and I– I l-like both, so I think it just– it j-just depends on the mood? Y-You make… either one feel good.”

Indigo: Do you like phone sex?

     He adverts his eyes at that one, obviously quite embarrassed; likely, that was more than enough of an answer. “I mean, I’ve n-never-- d-done it, but I... I’ve thought about it. ... Usually when I’m... aw-way, and can’t... just g-go see you. I th-think it could... be f-fun to try... ?”

Periwinkle: Do you use toys often?

     “Not... as m-much anymore.” Rubbing the back of his head, he looks back to Seker now, “I m-mean, I don’t... need th-them anymore, really, s-since I’m... with you now. I w-wasn’t... sure if y-you’d like using something like that either...”

     And he hadn’t been sure of how to bring the idea up.

     He shouldn’t have felt his cheeks warming over such a conversation. He and Seker were involved, were they not? Such a topic was bound to come up eventually, and yet here he was, trying to remain composed. Surely, his preferences were nothing all that strange, after all.

AQUA: Top or bottom?

     “I think with you, I would… prefer to be on the bottom. I like the of you– ravaging me, and taking me until I’m too tired to do much else but lay in your arms.” He pauses, clearing his throat, then adds, “Though I wouldn’t be opposed to doing the opposite. The thought of pleasuring you is… also pleasing to me.”

LAPIS: What’s your best fantasy?

     Well, if he was trying to keep from flushing before, he was certainly failing in that attempt, though the words come nonetheless, “I’m… riding you, setting the pace.      It had become a regular occurrence for Atem to visit Seker’s during his days off, or vice versa. With how busy his classes often kept him, the former Pharaoh couldn’t say that he didn’t miss the mage, but there was little to be done about the matter. It wasn’t as if Seker himself didn’t work, so the two of them did their best to simply work around one another schedules, so that they might spend time together when they could.

     Tonight, they sat on the couch, with Atem’s head upon his shoulder, and their fingers intertwined; it had become their preferred position, and one that often relaxed the ancient king more than he expected it to. Though his focus should have been upon the show that they were watching, a historical series that they’d both taken an interest in, Atem found that his thoughts were instead settled upon the comfort that he felt, being curled into the other man’s side, and the sense of peace that it filled him with.

     And at some point, he’d drifted off without even realizing it, a blink turning into a doze. The young man might have fallen into deeper slumber, had he not been roused by the gentle touch of fingertips against his skin, and warm breath against his face.

     When amethyst eyes fluttered open, they were met with a set of mercury ones that seemed to widen in the wake of his sleepy blinking. It took a moment for Atem to register that Seker’s face was so very close to his own, though a warmth would soon colour his cheeks, matching one that the other man seemed to wear as well.

     Seker began to pull back, lips parted in what Atem suspected to be an apology. Perhaps that was why his own hand lifted, a palm coming to rest gently against the magician’s cheek, while his thumb brushed the apple of it. Their gaze never broke, eyes fixated upon one another’s, and so Atem was able to see as Seker’s expression shifted from uncertainty to quiet calm that had the former Pharaoh own heart skipping a beat. It was like this that they remained for a few moments, as if neither one of their dared to move and break the scene.

     Until, once more, Seker dared to shift, leaning down towards him. Atem’s eyes flustered shut just before he felt the soft touch of lips against his own, both tentative and sweet. For a moment, the former Pharaoh wondered if, perhaps, he was still dreaming, for it certainly felt as if he could have been. If was as if he were floating, cradled in a warmth that he couldn’t describe, even as he leaned up to return that tender contact.

     He felt Seker shaking when they began to break apart, a soft noise emitting from the mage, and it prompted Atem to chase his lips for another gentle kiss, this one initiated by himself. He heard something like a whimper, before arms circled around him, and in return, a second hand moved to join the first upon the other man’s opposing cheek. There was the sound of a shuddering breath taken in when their lips parted once more, though this time, Atem coaxed Seker’s down lower so that their brows might press together. Once more, his eyes stared into the mage’s, a thumb moving to brush away moisture that had gathered at the edge of Seker’s. For a time, they simply sat together in silence, wrapped in each other’s hold while the world otherwise passed by.

     Until Atem could not longer resist          and once more drew Seker towards him               for another sweet exchange that had his heart singing.

💥 Try to calm my muse during an overwhelming emotional moment

     "Yugi, you need to rest.”

     “I can’t. I still have four more chapters to study before I can go to bed.” The duelist’s voice sounded strained and frustrated.

     Weeks of late nights and studying was clearly taking its toll on the boy, though that was to be expected. With entrance exams on the horizon, Yugi would have to score high enough to be chosen for the universities that he intended to apply to. The competition would be fierce, he knew, and unlike some of his classmates, Yugi had never been particularly gifted academically. True, he’d improved by leaps and bounds in his last few years of high school, but only the best would be chosen for the more prestigious schools in Japan.

     And the anxiety caused by that fact alone was enough to make Yugi feel as if he might be sick. Had it not been for Seker, the boy likely wouldn’t have slept at all.

     “Little dove, you cannot keep on like this,” the magician pressed, and Yugi heard a few footsteps just before long fingers settled upon his shoulder, “it is not good for you to stay up like this. You will exhaust yourself at this rate, you already have-”

     “Seker, I can’t!” His head whipped back, eyes rimmed with the very exhaustion that Seker spoke of glaring at the other man. The look of alarm on the other man’s face, and the way that he drew his hand back, were enough to make the boy regret snapping at him so suddenly. It wasn’t like the duelist to be so impatient, and Seker certainly hadn’t done anything to warrant such treatment.

     Yugi had been short with him for a few days now, he realized, and that, coupled with the weight upon his shoulders, seemed to break the resolve that he’d been clinging to for weeks. Turning away to stare down at the textbook opened in front of him, the boy felt his eyes beginning to sting while his shoulders hunched, a sudden wave of emotion slamming into him like a freight train.

     “S-Sorry,” he said softly, trying to keep his voice from trembling, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have– y-yelled like that. I can’t– I can’t just st-stop though, my– entrance exams are up, and if I sc-score h-h-high en-nough, I w-w-won’t– I c-c-can’t–”

     An attempt at drawing in a breath had Yugi sniffling loudly, a fact which he cursed internally. Hands rose up to wipe away the tears that had begun streaming down his face, and it was just as the duelist choked on a sob that he felt his chair being tugged away from his desk, while a set of strong arms wrapped around his form. They drew Yugi down from his seat and into the warmth of Seker’s lap, where mage now cradled the boy gently, a hand finding it’s way to the back of his head so that fingers might stroke, gently, through his hair.

     “I’m s-s-sorr-ry, S-Sek-k-ker, I’m j-just– j-j-just–”

     “Shhhh… I know, Yugi… it is alright…” For a time, the two of them sat there on the rug, Seker murmuring softly in Yugi’s ear, while the boy cried into his chest. It took but a few moments for days of anxiety to pour forth from the duelist, the torrent coaxed out by that simple promise, uttered over and over in his ear.

     “It will be okay, little dove. It is alright; I have you…”
