Success for PythonFOSDEM 2015

The PythonFOSDEM is not yet finished and the room is already full. You are really awesome. It's really fantastic to see this result after a very long period to work on the project with the Volunteers of the PythonFOSDEM.

Schedule Updated

Dear Python lovers,

Yesterday, we received a bad news. Vishal Yadav can't come to the PythonFOSDEM 2015 and in this case, his talk "TaskFlow: a Wonderful Wedding" has been cancelled. We have decided to replace it by an other one. We selected a talk of Stéphane Wirtel "Python & PostgreSQL, a Wonderful Wedding"

We are really sad for Vishal Yadav and hope to see him for PythonFOSDEM 2016.

The schedule has been updated on the PythonFOSDEM site, but we are waiting for the update of FOSDEM

PythonFOSDEM 2015 - Last news

Dear Python Community,

This year, we are really proud to announce there will be a great event in Belgium, the FOSDEM. The FOSDEM is the Free and Open source Software Developer’ European Meeting, a free and non-commercial two-day week-end that offers open source contributors a place to meet, share ideas and collaborate.

It’s the biggest event in Europe with +5000 hackers, +400 speakers.

For this edition, Python will be represented by its Community. If you want to discuss with a lot of Python Lovers, it’s the place to be!

Like every year, FOSDEM 2015 will take place on 31st January and 1st February in Brussels (Belgium).

We will have a room in the H building (200 seats) of the University Libre of Brussels, with a VGA video project and Wireless Internet.

You can use the #pythonfosdem hashtag for the event. Your pictures will be published on http://eventifier.com/event/pythonfosdem/

Here are the dates

Friday Evening: FOSDEM will organise a Beer Event at Delirium Café.

Saturday:

Devroom: During the day, there will be 16 talks, see the schedule

Booth:

You can come to discuss with us about Python and the community. There will be a sign party with Harry Percival and his book "Test-Driven Development with Python"

T-shirts and Plush snake to buy.

Evening: There is a drink for the Python Community and a restaurant, just after the talks. For this part, you need to register you because we have to know the number of attendees for the restaurant ;-) We already are 70 for the restaurant.

Sunday:

Booth: We think we can try to implement a new keyword for Python or discuss with some developers of CPython

This devroom will be open all day Saturday, 31st January.

Of course, we will have a Python booth for you, if you desire to discuss with us or with some members of the Community ;-)

This edition, we will sell a lot of t-shirts and plush snake for the pleasure of your kids or just for you. 

You can win a copy of the book of Harry Percival "Test-Driven Development with Python" and of course, Harry will sign it ;-)

The room of the last years, during 2013 and 2014 we had a room of 80 seats and you can see this one was really full. For this new edition, we have a room of 200 seats and we hope you will help us to fill it asap.

The last edition, you were really awesome.

On Saturday night, there will be a restaurant and a drink, you need to subscribe to this doodle, because we need to know the number of attendees for the restaurant ;-) Doodle

On Saturday evening, we will propose you to drink a beer with the Python Community.

Will you drink a beer with Us ?

Dear Python Community,

In two week, there will be the third edition of PythonFOSDEM. For you, this is a real success and for us, a real pleasure to see you there.

For this edition, don't forget there are two Beer events, the first one is on Friday evening at the Delirium Café and the second one at the same location on Saturday evening, just before the Python dinner.

I think you will drink a good beer with our plush Python.

At this moment, we are 62 for the beer event and 63 for the dinner.

Dinner for PythonFOSDEM 2015

Hi all,

During this edition of the PythonFOSDEM, there will be a dinner on Saturday evening in Brussels.

Here is the Doodle for this dinner, during the last edition, we were 80 in the restaurant. We think we can be more this time.
