Creativity! (30.05.20)
As of now, I have mastered the basics of Data Science. Hence, I changed the subject: how to convert from one base to another. Since kindergarten and primary school we learned to compute with decimals(base 10). However, I have just discovered other bases such as binary (base 2),
Octal(base 8), hexadecimal (base 16) etc. Now maybe you’re thinking „Why do we even need to know other systems?” Well, if we didn’t know other bases, we wouldn’t have computers or any other kinds of devices. You see, in order to run the device, you have to use a system, which doesn’t require a lot of different variables. And so we use a binary system because It requires only 2 numbers: 1 and 2. It was a very surprising discovery and I’m glad I learned such a valuable information :)

In order to fully understand Data Science, I have to learn the roots. Consequently, I have grasped a new knowledge: there are two main types of data, which are an analog and digital data. The first one is a continuous and infinite data. The numeric space between numbers is infinite. And that’s why there can be no precise values. The information is vast and interestingly enough there are no computers in this world, which can handle this kind of data. However, digital data is finite and therefore we can use this type of data in the electrical devices. It is very interesting!

Activity! (22.05.20)
For the first time in weeks, I am allowed to go outside and breathe fresh air. Two days ago, the government gave us the allowance to leave the quarantines. I am glad because sitting all day long just made me sick. On my way to the park, I reunited with my friend. Wow, it’s good to be back :)

Activity! (15.05.20)
After many weeks, I have done around 3000 swings and let me tell you something - the results are incredible. I swing the bat with ease and I got a lot stronger. In the past, doing 100 swings took me around 30 minutes but now it takes only 10 minutes! I am glad that I took this challenge.

Service! (11.05.20)
With the upcoming end of school, in the Habitat for Humanity we were planning to have a big event in the new school year. There were many propositions but we finally decided to have a picnic!

Service! (04.05.20)
Today we had a Habitat meeting and it was quite short. We just greeted each other and talked about how our lives are going. It was very nice to listen to everyone’s reflections.

Activity! (13.04.20)
The challenge I’ve told myself to do wasn’t near my expectations. I am extremely fatigued and my hands hurt a little. However, I can see the progress. It got much easier to swing the bat and I got pretty strong. If I keep doing the exercise, I will become the best!

Creativity! (11.04.20)
Because of the quarantine, I have more time to study Computer Science. As I have I said in the previous post, I am still learning how to organize database. I covered all basics of Data Science. However, the only thing left to practice is how to take the required information from various sources.

Activity! (06.04.20)
In the previous post, I have challenged myself to do 100 swings a day. Well, because of the extreme practice, I have big blisters on my both hands. So I decided reduce the number to 70. I hope I won’t injure myself before the next tournament.

Creativity! (04.04.20)
Today I continued with studying Data Science and let me tell you it can be really hard. Organizing data according to age, height, date etc. was easy to accomplish. However, to organize many quantitive datas makes the job even harder to do. Nevertheless, maybe after doing many exercises will I be able to organize information more easily.

Activity! (26.03.20)
Today it wasn’t raining and I was sick of sitting behind the desk all day long. So I convinced my sister to throw a baseball back and forth. Well, she used to softball in the past but she forgot all the basics of the sport involving a ball. I had to teach her from the beginning and truth to be told, she came around quickly. However, we did have an accident - she threw a baseball to my tibial bone. After the misfortune, I had to ice my leg but now I am completely fine!

Activity! (21.03.20)
Because of the quarantine, I am forced to exercise alone, with no supervision whatsoever. Therefore, it can be really hard to prepare for the next baseball championship. And that’s why I’ve decided to work out to extreme measures! I’ve challenged myself to do 100 swings per day from now on. At first, the task was really hard and very tiresome. However, as a wise man once has said - practice never lies!

Creativity! (19.03.20)
Recently my friend challenged me to make the highest construction, using resources which are: 3 apples, cardboard, 100 macaroni, 2m string, tape, knife and school supplies. At first, I’ve planned to make “legs” out of apples and then cut it in a way so that the cardboard could lean back on it. Well, it didn’t work out because the apples were not heavy enough. After that, I tried to improvise and think of how to make the construction stabilized. In the end, my design worked!

Creativity! (13.03.2020)
For the last three months I have been coding in Python and C++. Now, I’ve decided to take up a new subject - Data Science. I’m learning how to organise data and to do such a task, I’ve downloaded a special program that works like Microsoft Excel - SQL Database. At first, I struggled a bit but after hours of training, I started to understand the basics of data science.

Creativity! (22.02.20)
Today I came across a very hard task and it took me a long time to solve it. The task itself involved compressed strings and it already even sounds weird. I didn’t manage to do it at the end but I do not worry because what’s more important is that I have put a lot of effort in it:)))

My friend and I had a task for the Habitat for Humanity, which was to make a poster that includes information about the organization itself. It was not an easy task because our new boss is very picky so we had impress him somehow. Well we did a great job in my opinion!!

Service! (13.02.2020)
So it’s my third day at work !! The restaurant was not roaming with customers so I mainly helped the coworkers with tidying up the place since they did not have time to that. The basement, where the kitchen and storage resides, was so messy and it took me a while to fix this mess. What might interest you is how the food is transferred from downstairs to upstairs. Well we use a small elevator and it’s really cool !!
