The King of Diamonds in the upcoming QUANTUM deck is Max Planck. He is best known for solving the blackbody emission spectrum problem by proposing electromagnetic radiation exists in discrete packets, each carrying energy equal to its frequency times the constant that bears his name. This radical departure from classical physics began the quantum revolution. Planck was also an incredibly gifted musician and nearly pursued a musical career instead of physics. He also composed numerous songs and operas that became lost to history when his Berlin house was destroyed in World War II.
The QUANTUM deck will be available on Kickstarter on June 1st.

The Jack of Spades in the upcoming QUANTUM deck is Erwin Schrödinger. He is best known for his wave formulation of quantum mechanics and his thought experiment involving a cat in a box that is simultaneously alive and dead until observed. A polymath who made significant contributions to many areas of physics as well as biology and color theory, his contributions to quantum physics are his most enduring legacy. Despite this, he never fully embraced the implications of the theory.

The Queen of Spades in the upcoming QUANTUM deck is Marie Skłodowska Curie. She was a pioneer in the field of radioactivity. She was awarded two Nobel Prizes, one in physics for her work related to radioactivity and one in chemistry for her discovery of the elements Radium and Polonium. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and to date the only person to win Nobel Prizes in two scientific fields.

He is best known for his path integral formulation of quantum mechanics and his namesake Feynman diagrams that are used extensively in modern particle physics. He also contributed significantly to the field of computing and is well known for his lectures on physics and his passion for playing the bongos.
