Zikreet
Zikreet is located near Dukhan on the west coast of Qatar - a barren land with mostly sand, rocks and historical sites, it's not surprising at all to find a few houses and mosques next to the beach.
GPS co-ordinate: N 25° 29' 24.31'' E 50° 50' 40"
Go on full tank
Sand, rocks, mangroves, house, mostly sand. That’s typically what you see on Qatar’s highway. But wait, we passed by a group of camels. That was intriguing. We took the road straight to Dukhan and in just 45 minutes, we passed a sign that says   ‘Zikreet’.  That’s when we knew that we’ve arrived.
Hills have eyes
As we drove towards the bay, we spotted a convoy of people whose interest is mostly paragliding and sailing. According to them, the place is a good spot for paragliding & sailing.
The water was crystal clear and as for ecosystem, there’s barely anything other than random mangroves spots and occasional bird spotted. So we ended up having some snacks on the beach.
4 x 4 equals safety?
It’s not necessary to equip a 4 x 4 to go to the beach unless you want to explore the more remote areas further up the peninsula then you will certainly need one. Although, there’s a really tiny chance that your car might get stuck, lets say, when you drive so close to the water. To put it nicely, our tyres took a nice mud bath right next to the water.
