there was a moment pause from the girl as she looked over at the sudden loud noise that had come from the opposite end of the room before she shook her head. she had only looked away for one moment to order food for the two of them, it had been awhile since the two had hung out and she needed an escape from the world for a bit. what she didn’t expect though was a crashing sound to even happen. thanking the people on the other end of the line she shook her head and looked over at the male. “i can’t look away for five seconds can i? i hope you know you’re cleaning up the mess there thankfully it all stayed in the bag.” @qucntins​

nothing could stop quentin from getting into something he shouldn’t and it wasn’t a surprise that he found himself wandering around natalia’s apartment as the girl was busy on the phone. his hand reached for a bag of candy in the pantry before several items toppled over onto the counter. “oh shit.” quentin whispered as he shot natalia a look of fear to see if she heard. “listen you’re taking so long to order food, i need something to snack on.” he shouted back at her while putting back the bags that fell. “where’s all the good shit huh? have you become boring without me? you not friends with like don julio anymore?” quentin questioned with raised brows after he returned to the room the girl was in and plopped down on the couch next to her.

𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄  𝐋𝐄𝐓  out  an  overexaggerated  huff  at  quentin’s  response  ,  knowing  full  well  the  week  was  intended  to  be  relaxing  and  refreshing  .  sofie’s  vacation  ,  while  it  had  started  out  refreshing  ,  had  now  evolved  into  a  deep - seated  worry  about  returning  to  new  york  &  the  pressure  brought  about  by  the  industry  the  two  of  them  were  involved  in  .  as  quentin  took  her  phone  ,  she  let  out  a  breath  she  hadn’t  realized  she’d  been  holding  and  laid  back  against  the  lounge  ,  closing  her  eyes  momentarily  while  the  two  listened  to  the  track  .  when  it  had  ended,  sofie  to  his  critique  with  eyes  still shut  ,  shaking  her  head  .  “  you  hate  it  ,  i  knew  it  .  this  is  mediocre  ,  ”  she  told  the  man  ,  opening  her  eyes  to  take  her  device  back  from  him  ,  “  an  instagram  model  could  write  a  better  song  than  that  .  that  sabrina  carpenter  girl  wants  one  of  my  songs  ,  maybe  i’ll  just  sell  it  to  her  …  ”  perhaps  her  biggest  FLAW  was  the  crippling  self - doubt  that  worked  its  way  into  every  career  move  sofie  took  ,  the  fear  of  rejection  or  failure  was  almost  enough  to  cause  her  to  stop  trying  (  and  was  without  a  doubt  a  major  motivation  into  her  habits  )  .  sofie  nodded  eagerly  at  quentin’s  proposition  ,  “  i  can’t  wait  to  hear  them  .  i  need  ANYTHING  i  can  get  ,  i’m  just  off  my  game  recently  .  ”  she  shook  her  head  ,  dropping  her  phone  onto  the  lougne  beneath  her  and  turned  to  look  at  the  man  ,  eyes  shielding  her  gaze  ,  “  that’s  enough  about  me  .  what’s  up  with  you  ?  you  excited  to  go  home  ?  ”

quentin couldn’t help but roll his eyes at her much anticipated reaction. she always down played her talent and though he’d never admit it to her, sofia was one of the easiest artist he worked with because of her abilities. “you learned from the best, how could i hate it?” he teased the blonde. the two could make magic happen in the studio, with a little help of occasional substances and previously, times when things were a little less professional. "hey you could count as both— but when instagram finally flops, you have gold right here so we’re not selling this.” nodding over to her phone that had the recording on it. “plus that carpenter girl is like 12, she can sing disney songs.” quentin leaned on the sound board, scrolling through his files before opening the few he put aside for the girl. “look, we have these and we’ll put them out before summer. i gotta go out to la to work on some of these, you can come and get back on your game.” he suggested, shrugging his shoulders as he spun back around in his chair to face the girl. “me? well i bought a new place and it’s empty but i built a studio in there, you should come check it out. we could break it in.” quentin offered with raised brows. “or are you gonna leave me too and go on tour?”
