Eric Bogosian lives in NYC, so I hope he’s at the NYCC panel to truly maximize our chances that he will drop some plot details for us as the rest of the IWTV cast attempts to silence him with a blow dart to the neck

Can I just say that The Vampire Lestat and Talamasca having a prime time New York Comic Con panel spot and time is fantastic? Like, prior to this, NYCC had 1) IWTV footage dropping during an unrelated Daryl Dixon panel, 2) Mayfair Witches on an early Thursday panel, the day & timespan with the least attendees. (No shade at all on the Mayfair panel, which was fun and pretty well attended.)

But this a Friday evening panel slot, typically reserved for some of the bigger names showing up to the con. (AMC has had panels on the late Friday slots in the past, but not for this show -- last year, it was a panel for The Walking Dead shows). So this DOES feel like a big step up, especially when they’re also still doing full-court promotion at SDCC (meaning AMC is willing to go all out on BOTH of the biggest US conventions, which makes me very happy -- AND they are giving it a similar treatment to their biggest cash cow, The Walking Dead)

I was wondering why Oscar's mourning for John Adams to his mother was shown in the 'previously on' segment for the Gilded Age finale, and now I'm realizing:

when she initially refuses to sit at the head of the table at dinner, we were supposed to think she didn't want to sit next to her son because she'd realized he's gay and is rejecting him. I'm extreeeeemely glad that that's not what it was!
