netrunner meta is in a funny spot right now. tier 1 runner is heads and shoulders above tier 1 corp, *but* the tier 1 corp is also in turn stronger than every tier 2 runner, so runner being outsizedly powerful rn doesn't even lead to particularly much deck diversity

my distaste for customisation has led to me not realising that the masks in hotline miami had powers because i played the whole thing just wearing the default mask

while doing an entirely self-interested manuever in 1846 that was incidentally going to cause some medium problems for everyone else (starting a new company, effectively taking loans and buying two phase 3 trains with it, starting phase 3) we went round the table and everybody bought one phase 3 train. until we got to bee, whose company had lost its only train on account of phase 3 starting, and who was forced to buy a new train for the company. but unfortunately the only trains left were the phase 4 trains. for comparison, a phase 2 train is $180, a phase 3 train is $500 and a phase 4 train is $800. quite a big jump in price and she was already going to struggle to get the phase 3 one. so bee ends up almost totally bankrupt fulfilling this while very behind, manages to buy the train. this starts phase 4. literally nobody including myself was prepared for the start of phase 4 and everybody's midgame trains have become obsolete. two of four remaining players (after bee) are going to be liable to forced train purchases making them spend personal money to bail out their companies (very bad!). the other two companies not controlled by me go from 3 trains to 1 train after this operating round because of this. i am remarkably fine and my companies will have 2/2 and 1/2 trains apiece and i did not fucking plan this part at all but it's working out very well for me

welcome back dimension shifter
(this turns off Literally Everything that the tier zero combo deck does. the only out on the corp's side, because this is not a scoring build, is to find your own current and play it. the runner is regularly running recursion to play 4+ copies of rumor mill against the corp's 3.)
eternal netrunner is so funny. combo format where one single card just blanks everything that the t0 deck does. draw the out.

excited to watch various films that lean too bleak and tasteless to watch with Chloe while she's away on a trip. peruse Kitano's films, watch bullet ballet, maybe ōshima's early career stuff

looking at the ygo forbidden and limited list. you're telling me they banned literally everything that the standard going-first line of play both used as combo extenders and as payoffs back when i played? not only can you not make borreload savage dragon and appoloussa anymore, you can't get to it via isolde and linkross and mecha phantom beast auroradon? struggling to conceptualise what that even looks like but also if i played the game for like a week it would probably be really easy to conceptualise

it's so funny seeing Board Gamers believe that they have consumer rights regarding kickstarters. bud you signed the agreement that says "i am literally not even buying anything and the company has no obligation to give me shit" and you're going on about how there's legal implications if they sell copies to someone not in the queue. get real you already scammed yourself

deeply funny how indie game hack-fraud stuff comes in two waves - the immediate clones, and then a year or two later the ripoffs that went and got funding and slowly developed a totally derivative game thats aping the cover art for something nobody's thought about in a year and 9 months

it must be noted that this evil plan in question lost me the game attempting to pull it off but it was very funny
immensely enjoying playing overcomplicated board games with my friends and partners. playing these asynchronously over online makes them so much easier to get people on board for. and you get to have the feeling of cooking up an evil plan for a whole day
