XOXOSome time before we have a new design for Soli-shirts promise. So here's the finished draft all over the world famous graffiti artist Saile_One, from Chile. Thank you compete, this cool!!! We hope you like it as well! Until the pressure it will still take a while but we will keep you posted. And because we not only Muay Thai, there will be in the second half jahes also something for the bottom kuschelnde martial arts group. ;-) Shirts, sweaters, or still just bags, you can now make a wish. We'll see what we can do! Last but not least we have a reference to the shirts still available, with the great motive of Rita Humbug and that remains always Sundays at 11 training will take place in the sacred halls of the no style combat e.v. These and the following Sunday is Muay Thai on the program. XOXO

From Greg Wootton’s facebook page:
It's International women's day.
I'd like to pay homage to these women, my friends and former training partners. Such cool and super strong ladies. They used to whoop me when I first started training. They looked out for me and supported along the way.
They have all achieved amazing things with one thing in common. Not giving a fuck about patriarchy and ignoring masculinities restrictions. Male dominated sport didn't stop them reaching the top.
Big respect. Happy women's days everyone x

Nice article with women discussing their relationship with Muay Thai kickboxing and the sexist and classist attitudes towards combat sports.
It’s exciting to read that about more women-only fighting classes being set up - in Reading I think http://www.gal-dem.com/combat-sports-working-class/

I’m mostly sharing this article because it’s interesting to read that there was a boxing club set up at the Calais camp that some of the people living there were involved in running.
The Calais camp was violently evicted in October 2016 and totally destroyed. But whilst the border there exists, people are continuing to try and live in the area in the hope of being able to cross.
The article itself is pretty badly written, overly long and has some pretty problematic statements in it. It’s a shame to read that the person who set it up saw it as being for young men in the camp rather than helping make a space for some of the women and girls who lived there too. There’s also quite a lot of strange statements where the writer assures us that the people in the camp were not ‘inherently violently, dangerous people’. But whilst we’re obviously coming from very different places to the writer and maybe the main organiser of the gym, it’s good to read of what sounds like a mostly self-organised gym providing some enjoyment in a really difficult and terrible situation.
Solidarity and no borders!
