      [♔] The same could be said of the green tunic'd hero. He had his sword drawn, carefully trekking through the forest to clear out Moblins getting dangerously close to any towns. It was only when he heard a stick crack behind him that he spun on his heel, his sword held down towards... a similarly clad child. Navi clinked from behind Link, and spoke quickly;

“I sense great power from you, who are you?”

Hello Newcomers. Welcome to the realm of unquality. I am likely to be singlehandedly the worst Link on Tumblr and I appreciate you guys sticking by me... especially through my monthlong streak of inactivity.

[5] encountered the Hylian Hero

       [♔] Five varying creatures came into sight, all of different origins. By this point, Link was unsure who was friend or foe, so he'd just wing it. He sent Navi into the field first, following closely behind her.

"Hey! I'm Navi, and this is Link!"

       [♔] A brief nod confirmed the fairy's introduction, and, despite Navi's lax behaviour, Link's hand was at the ready, willing to grab his sword at the first sign of danger.

       [♔] At least he could rule out they were a threat. Surely no dangerous foe would curl up into a ball in the face of danger. The shield also threw him for a complete loop. He couldn't recall any of Ganondorf's forces having shields quite like this.

       [♔] Navi immediately hovered closer, shaking up and down and clinking similarly to a bell;

“Hello! You're okay now, Link is very sorry!”

      [♔] Immediately he glared at Navi. If he was sorry, he would have offered a helping hand. He still was entirely unsure of this creature's loyalty. It was rather bemusing that a creature would walk through a forest brimming with moblins by choice, after all.

2 found themselves at the end of the sword

Sunny let out a startled yelp at being tripped up, instinctively curling up in a ball while one of his shields surrounded him.

He faintly wondered what tripped him up before hearing the chiming voice, curling up a bit tighter and trembling. That meant he had gotten tripped up purposely.

       [♔] He swiftly spun around, eyeing about for exactly where the enemies had arisen from. He hadn't been expecting much, but as the enemies began to pile out and surround them...

“Watch out!! There has to be hundreds of them!”

      [♔] His sword was drawn as quickly as the first enemy came to strike. A hasty slash quickly took care of it before he joined into the heat of battle. He was a war hero, a few Moblins would be no match for his sword.

Dark blue eyes looked up the the Navis in confusion. This was beyond strange. 

Pat, pat, pat.

A chorus of patters emerged from behind the two, and link quickly pulled is sword in front of him once again. 

He looked at the other Link, holding a strong grip on his sword, once again leaping forwards— this time towards the croud of enemies coming towards them.

       [♔] As Link saw the other cease striking, he returned the sword to it's sheath. If the other wasn't going to attack, he evidently wasn't a threat. His own eyes drifted back to the two fairies;

“N-Navi? But I'M Navi!”

      [♔] So this wasn't just another him, it was another Navi as well. What was happening? This couldn't have been the work of Ganondorf could it? Some time traveling nonsense of some kind?

After a few more hits, Link realised that this other was no threat. They were blocking ever move, not making an effort to strike back at any given chance. 

Link looked up to Navi, who was currently focused on the other fairy.

—"I-I am listening! I’m Navi, who’re you?" The fairy said quickly.

       [♔] Fighting came naturally to him, so the second he saw the blade coming at him, he swiftly drew his own to block the others strike. Navi clinked nervously, looking at her own alternate;

“Another me!? Who are you!? Hey, L-Listen!”

      [♔] Link wasn't being too offensive as of yet, not until he got some answers on who this was and how this was possible. If this person was misunderstanding him, he didn't want to take a life if he didn't have to. So he blocked strike after strike, waiting for a crucial bit of information to be leaked.

As the pairs of blue eyes met, Link’s grip on the sword tightened. He stepped backwards slightly, taking a strong stance. 

A short moment after, a small fairy known as Navi piqued up in a high voice; 

—“Hey! Be careful, Link! It’s a double!” 

As useless as the information was to hear now, yet the hero nodded to this companion, and leaped forwards to the unknown other. The sword’s slice was blocked by the other— the counterpart’s blocks were quick.

       [♔] Navi flew out first, and clinked for a moment, startled. Immediately followed was the tall, slim hero. His scarf flew behind him as he grabbed Navi to stop that clinking noise. Muffled in the fairy's hands, however;

"Link! Watch out! Another you!"

      [♔] Immediately he looked up, his eyes meeting the other's. He released Navi, reaching behind him and gripping the sword sheathed on his back and his piercing blue eyes narrowing.

The hero quickly looked up from their map as soon as they heard a distinct crackle of a leaf being stepped on. Link could’ve sworn that they were alone, free from any enemies, secluded by the bushes— with the exception of his trusty companion, Navi. Stuffing the map in the pocket of their tunic, the hylian stepped towards the sound source, wielding their sword in hand.

That was, when another person, taller than themselves, came into Link’s view.
