I love you, fics that take months to update. I click on the newest chapter and have no memory of this place and get to go back some chapters and rediscover how much i love everything about this story.

I love you, fics that take years to update. I think of you fondly, and know your names, go search for you and see an update from this year and scream, diving in uncaring of any missed details (i will finish the update and read you in reverse because this is a treat you have bestowed)

I love you, fics that probably will never update again. Thank you for being a roman empire for my mind, thank you for teaching me about the ephemeral fandom experience, for inspiring a thousand million what if-s, for being a comfort read and a nostalgia read and a reread.

I love you fic writers, who jump into projects and stories with enthusiasm. I love you when you succeed in pumping out those chapters and that love doesn't go away when you stop.

I love you fic writers who post and then get in your own head and never feel confident enough to update, whether it's at all or whether it's just that one story.

I love you fic writers, who have a fandom or media hurt you to the point of abandoning or having a hard time with their WIPs.

I love you fic writers, who lose interest or have life changes or illness or bad memory. Thank you for being part of the fandom, a core part of the fandom. Thank you for the time spent in the fandom.

I love you, fic writers who try out something new and then stop. You're so valid.

Sketch dump time BABYYYYY

considering i frolic between ideas like a hummingbird, its REALLY about time i started posting wips and sketches- these guys take up so much of my brain space and im all here for it hehe

comments and ramblings below the cut! >:D

some of these have been haunting me for months, take them AWAY-

loosen up legend cmonnn (just enough for someone to swipe that map)

the things im willing to do to figure out how i want to draw each of these guys,,, jaws and noses are going to be the death of me BUT IM GETTING SOMEWHERE

having a blast with the ears though hell yeah get me some shapes

four looking like such a smug cat had me cracking up HOW did that happen

SLAMS MY HANDS ON THE TABLE OK SO! as much as i adore anything that has to do with wind and time/mask being in hyrule warriors, i recently locked onto the idea of tune during hw being post lu wind and im. being so normal about this

still working on tunes ref but ragrgrghrgrrr what do you do when all you have of someone are your fallible memories and mementos of days you cant return to (literally half of what hes wearing is going to be from someone else when im done with him)

anyways THAT only happened because of my ravio identity theft au :3 which tldr has post hw ravio joining the chain playing as legend (BEFORE he realized the captain was there) (this can only go well), but then i realized post hw wind would shorten the charade WAY too much (since he like JUST got out of hw, fresh) = GUARDS! UNFOUND THIS GUYS FOUND FAMILY!

ok im calm

i lied, holding up legend and ravio get those guys matching facial scars, something something i have a metaphor in here somewhere that surely ill do something with later

one day ill get ravios hw ref colored + sort out his identity theft au outfit, but today is Not that day,,,

anyways i swear half my concept sketches are via ms paint these days, this is the kind of work environment i give myself

if you've never engaged with a creative art on a regular basis you need to understand that it requires concerted effort to get into "the groove" to make something and every second that it takes to get into that groove causes physical pain, but the only thing worse than doing it is not doing it.

Liking character is fun until you think about them and you just have to stare at nothing for a few minutes because of how tragic

And mauybe you are almost crying but you are having fun

still shocked i knocked this out in just a month- APPARENTLY its been over 4 years since i last did a complex nature scene, pretty content with the results though! :D

lil commentary and crops under the cut~

holding a bazooka labeled headcanons and pointing it at these guys

its important to note that their current situation is NOT legends fault, buddy is an unwilling participant, help him,,,

read one too many minish four fics and Locked On- i just think hes neat! :)

also liked the idea of four only having the earring bead while shrunk,,, i have Thoughts and Opinions on how this could relate to him being just shrunken during his adventure, but being functionally a minish while small now (gotta love a willingness to mess around with magic you THINK you understand)

EARS!! hyrules look like the edge of a leaf, think it works good enough for the part fae ideas im plagued by (he also gets lil claws, as a treat)

pointing out the DEATH GRIP hyrule has on legends hair: ow

that nick on legends nose? im working on it i swear trust me trust me (<<< college debuff) it has to do with that ravio au that i swear im working on

the filter selection on my drawing app is a bit wonky and i gotta say: hyrules hair kept turning Bright Orange, i dont even want to know

100% forgot that trying to juggle this many shades of green is its own kind of circus- but the bright green glow?? SO much fun, definitely not used to drawing multiple light sources but RAHHHHHH getting to do harsh lighting again was a treat

this sucker is 18MB?? HELP

still got a ton of sketches lined up to do- hoping to bully myself into posting wips more often though! since theres no telling when (or if) ill finish anything at any given time- immune to the sunk cost fallacy JUST for my drawings apparently
