              ‘ wasn’t going to , learned not to ask questions. ’ which wasn’t a lie. as a mutant , you learned at a young age to not ask questions if you weren’t going to be prepared for the answer that could be thrown towards you. pressing her lips together , her eyes focused on the blow-up pool that the other was moving around in. ‘ why didn’t you just look into getting a larger pool ? you do not look comfortable. ’

mera nodded her head in slight understanding as she shrugged softly, “i only could get what i could get at this point in time,” she mused with a nod of her head, “i will make do with what i can get right now.”

Hesitation flooded through Bucky at the invitation, still somewhat concerned with his ability to fully control his powers. He was only just moving on from all the crap Hydra had managed to get into his head. But perhaps a little training could help with all the torment. “ Yeah, actually, that’d be great. ”

mera smirked as she heard the male agree with her before stepping into the makeshift ring in the middle of the room, “and do not hold back at all,” she spoke, stretching out her limbs, “this won’t hurt most... much.”

okay, so he had to admit that he was intrigued… where the hell did she pull out that pool. “What are you, six?” although he wouldn’t mind a small dip in a pool right now. It was hot. “We just have to make the most of it.” And by most of it; he meant take the whole damn place as his.

“i didn’t realise that was back,” she commented bored, as she continued, sitting in the water, “unless you have something interesting to bring up. i would like to re-hydrate in piece. thanks.”

“Yeah, it’s not an easy thing to really adjust to.” Kara responds as she raises her eyebrows when the other sinks into her pool. “I wasn’t going to, just gonna say that you must really like the water.” She muses with a small nod of her head.

“i have survived worst,” she hummed as she sighed in relief as she sunk lower into the water, “well, water is essentially to my survival,” mera hummed, watching the other woman curiously.

“you would think that being from one dimension and then moving permanently to another would be enough,” mera hummed as she ran her fingers through her fiery locks, “but it seems that we are here now,” she pointed out before sinking into her blow up pool, “don’t ask.”

      “stay just like that. perfectly still okay?” donna called out as she brought the lens of her camera up to her eye. it wasn’t often the girl took time for her photography but she couldn’t help herself. adjusting the focus in the photo to the person in view. the shuttered as the polaroid was captured and began to print. pulling the photo off the amazon gave the other a warm smile. “ i think this is going to be a good shot. ”

mera blinked in surprise as she listened to the other girl before turning her head to look at donna with a soft smile on her face, “you sure? i have never seen one of those before. what is it?” the woman asked curiously at the polaroid.

having spent a considerable time in cyrogenic freezer and even longer under mind control, there were few scenarios that actually concerned bucky. and being stuck in some alternate reality with a motley crew of heros and villians wasn’t one of them. regardless, he wondered if an escape plan was being formulated and what his role would be. if there was fighting, he’d obviously have a role. at the realization that he wasn’t alone, bucky chuckled. “ sorry i didn’t see ya’ there, too caught up in my thoughts. ” he offered. 

the redhead looked up from where she had been punching the bag in front of her before offering a slight smile, “don’t worry about it. we all get a little distracted,” she mused before asking, “i was wondering if you wanted to trained with me?”
