ive been awake and working since 4am. i have been at the office overseeing an all day event since 8am after overseeing a major lunch event yesterday (was not informed about yesterday. did not get any of my pressing computer work done as a result thus up at 4am. assumed i would have time today. was not aware the ppl who were actually running the event today would not be helping with set up lmfao). this happy hour was supposed to be over two minutes ago. i’m trapped ive been here in event manager mode for ten hours while twenty new emails have hit my inbox that all needed to be addressed last week. i can feel my pulse in my entire body. the only thing tethering me to this earth is cockslut evan buckley’s first time at oh thank god i think everyone’s leaving

It was good, overall, that no one had ever managed to break Buck of his impulsive, hothead ways completely. Bucking the lead, Bobby thinks fondly. It’s the thing that’ll save all of their lives again before the end finally comes, he's sure of it, and one day it'll make Buck the best kind of captain, the kind his team will follow to hell and back.

But it must be said that Buck’s learned the value of listening, too, over the years. The deeper rewards that discipline can bring, and that can only come from surrendering. Letting yourself turn towards the guidance of a steady hand, instead of flinching away.

Bobby sighs, rolling his neck from side to side. The only light is a soft warm glow from the lamps on either side of the bed, the ones he and Athena had picked out together at IKEA, five weeks and a dozen lifetimes ago. His eyes meander over the chiaroscuro of Buck's bicep, and his wife's shapely calf hanging over it, and Tommy's big hands, holding Buck firmly by the hips, so that his thrusts stay exactly the same length every time: slow and deep, exactly what Athena needed in order to really let go.
