The Twinside Museum of Fine Arts resided in the heart of the metropolis, a block away from the renowned Wyvern Park and a bustling subway station. Established two centuries ago, the museum exemplified Sanbrequois art across generations. A small, yet prestigious gallery up front showcased local artists. Most of the space, however, cycled through older pieces. The massive banner flanking the entrance advertised the final week for the Eikon exhibition, where a stylized portrait of Dion the Bold semi-primed billowed in the wind. Terence barely considered it, preoccupied with finding his Dion. Despite the chill surging through Twinside, citizens and tourists flooded the streets. Maybe they sought solstice presents or somewhere to eat that didn’t require reservations. Or maybe they were lost and confused by the city’s grid system. That didn’t explain Dion’s tardiness. Ugh, if only they had exchanged numbers during class to send updates. Though in Dion’s defense, Terence was early—by at least a half an hour. And here I thought I would be late, he mused amidst his pacing.
