We as a fandom don’t acknowledge how incredibly *violating* being turned mortal must’ve been for apollo.

You’re kept in isolation for a period of 6 months, in and out of consciousness. Your only company is the towering man who frequents often. Your essence, the most private part of you, a part nobody has ever *seen* or *touched* in the literal way is suddenly being messed with- changed in a way you can’t comprehend because your mind is so fuzzy.
