For day 14 and the final of the Chronically queer coining event!

Gonna, firstly say, so much love to the mogai community. We've been apart of it since elementary school (or very early middle school)(which, is crazy information to reflect on), and coming back to interact with the wider community after, like, five years of not really interacting with it much has been a bit of an eye-opening experience. It's crazy seeing so many of our favorite mogaiers inactive, and no longer posting, but, I've definitely had the chance to see plenty of other mogaiers out there who've definitely won us over in the long run.

@radiomogai and @mogaiwarchive, I love my fave (and really only) archive blogs I interact with. Thank you Radio for being the sickest, most organized archive blog we've ever seen in our lives (like WOW!! [Positive]).

And thank you warchive and your beautiful BEAUTIFUL blog for existing. I thought I was going batshit trying to find military terms, and then appeared like a ray of light, praise be. I'm always here for the more controversial (is it controversial? It isnt by our personal definition, but, 🤷‍♀️) of blogs and the organization of terms.

@rabidbatboy - Actually one of two that inspired me to get into coining. Its content actually made me feel very not, alone in my experiences with our identity. His blog was kinda, like, stepping into a warm kitchen with a hot meal waiting for us. I appreciate you, and your content, it has the biggest place in our heart of hearts.

@francicide - The second one of two that inspired me to get into coining. I greatly, appreciate, just, how unashamed you are in the content you make. Like, How fiercly devout you are to your own interests. I say that because I found your blog looking for stuff related to The Thing (because the movie is our heart), and your blog felt like a thing of kinship, honestly. A breath of air.

@xenicfruit - It was so crazy to find out from rot I was inspo for evils blog, because rot was actually sort of one for ours once evil started to appear on our feed. We have SO much appreciation for your blog, omg!! Definitely shown us we should lean into our hyperspecifity more at times when making terms and make our flags prettier (ugh, i love your flags 💔). Your blog is definitely like, once I come inside after playing around in a hot summer day. Chugging down a cup of koolaid and fucking up some fruit.

There's definitely a lot of other mogaiers out there I love (platonic) and appreciate, though, these are the main five I automatically think of.

Also, sorry if my words are lacking on any of these points. I never feel as if there's enough words to conceptualize how I feel about things, especially in positive ways.

COWORKER + COWORKER NICHELINK: or Coworkers Nichelink — an All-Ages nichelink relationship/relationship dynamic where the people in the relationship consider themselves coworkers and want to emulate that relationship

this may include, but isn't limited to:

- both of the people in the relationship being occuden and/or archetrope of the same occupation (both being pizza deliverer occuden for example)

- introjects who worked together in their source and would like to continue that dynamic

- both of the people in the relationship sharing identification with a role/occupation either through dissomei, transid, intusui etc and considering themselves coworkers due to such

- getting atypical euphoria from considering one their coworker instead of their friend

- both using parallel play/body doubling to get work done and considering themselves coworkers due to such

- both living together and working from home

they may identify with this alongside Villain + Henchman or Boss + Personal Assistant or another more specific nichelink that involves a coworker dynamic

CHOCOLATE STARFISH: a queer presentation term for when one’s trans identity is in some way intertwined with the nu metal scene, whether that be due to the fashion, music, etc

sorry not sorry for the gross name I thought it was silly. colours also picked from the chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavoured water album

EXPERIENCE: when thinking about presentation terms I often try and think about a group of queer people or a stereotype that has gone unnamed. I’ve found that the way nu metal ties in with transness is surprisingly common, for many different kinds of trans people.

for me, nu metal fashion from the early 2000s was the first way that I was able to feel comfortable and euphoric dressing masculinely. granted that this style consists of large baggy shirts and shorts, which aids in a lot of euphoria and dysphoria relief, I consider this inseparable from the way I present as trans.

additionally, nu metal music and culture in general contribute a lot to my general presentation and transition goals, since this revolves a lot around the early 2000s and late 90s (and this particularly ties in a lot with being an older brother archetroper, which loops back around to me being transmasculine)

I don’t believe I’ve yet to formally say this but since revamping the term I would like it on record that aggroamoric is not a term exclusive to those on the low empathy spectrum. attraction is an involuntary experience. It was originally described that way since this was the experience of the alter coining the term. However, I now find this does not properly reflect the usage of the term. You may absolutely experience aggroamoric attraction in a way that relates to your lack of/low empathy, and I find this is a common trend, but it is not exclusive to this experience

odd to me that there’s an expectation that you can’t experience rose attraction to a person you experience nonrose attraction to.. it’s incredibly common to experience more than one type of attraction to a person. e.g both romantic and sexual. both sexual and platonic being the more commonly known and/or socially accepted ones.

I think this expectation is why I so often see rose attraction crammed into nonrose attraction coining, or added as a “you can experience this nonrose attraction in a rose way too!” (which is a bizarre thing to say, that’s like coining a platonic attraction term and saying “you can also experience this in a romantic way!”)

because what people really mean is that you can experience rose attraction and also this nonrose attraction but because of their preconceptions about nonrose attraction it’s hard to grasp that both can be experienced simultaneously and to the same person, so it ends up getting shoehorned into nonrose terms which entirely juxtaposes what the definition of nonrose is

reminders:

allos can experience nonrose attraction

allos can be in nonrose relationships

queerplatonic relationships aren't the only kind of nonrose relationship

queerplatonic attraction and platonic attraction aren't the only kinds of nonrose attraction

if you're coining a nonrose attraction, consider what a relationship for that type of attraction entails
