You know those moments when you suddenly look around and register that this is your life? And like, it’s just so good?

I am sitting in the office, isolated because I caught Covid and my roommates have a 4-month old.

But.

There are children laughing in the living room. The baby has discovered noise and is making trilling sounds. I’m eating the soup my roommate picked up from the store - without me asking - simply because he knew I was sick and wasn’t sure what I could eat. My husband has triple checked if there is anything he can do to help. And I just feel so lucky. This is my life. After years of darkness and pain and uncertainty - I made it to the future.

And the future is beautiful.
