I did some illustrations for The summer Carton which is out now!

A few days ago I was given a white pair of Bucketfeet Plimsolls by Schuh and asked to draw whatever I liked and here they are!  I drew from my favourite inspiration, Kalinga women and their amazing hand tapped tattoos.  

I've been thinking a lot about the colonisation of the Philippines and how it completely altered the country and its culture, and also about being mixed race and sometimes feeling unsure where I fit in.  These thoughts and feelings have led me to want to research,draw and make music about this filipino culture that existed and as far as i know has been unaltered since before Magellan landed and the rest followed.  I suppose It's all connected to me trying to figure out my identity...

Anyway what I'm trying to say is Im Pinoy and Im PROUD!
